Gut wrenching to see four young people jailed for direct action against an arms supplier to Israel. Years in prison for protesting to save lives in Gaza, with 'terrorism' used despite no jury convicting them of it. A truly dangerous attack on the right to protest.

The idea that the UK is not spending enough on defence is seemingly taken as fact, and any suggestion to the contrary treated as heresy. But the UK will next year be spending 20% more in real terms than it was just a few years ago, and outspends Germany, France, Italy and Spain, as a share of GDP

Nothing like watching an old man sat on a jewel-encrusted chair wearing a jewel-encrusted hat read out a letter from a knight of the realm about how he plans to make life even more difficult for parents of disabled children to make you feel like they are ‘one of us’.

The Starmer project never understood that millions of people want an alternative to a broken economic system and a foreign policy based on mass murder. If you believed in that, the Starmer project told you to fuck off. Well, we have fucked off. How do you like them apples

Drug deaths have risen every year for 13 years. That’s 13 years of a failed “war on drugs”. Labour should be looking at legalisation, control and regulation - not playing politics with people’s lives. This is a public health crisis. Treat it like one. Not a game.
