I thought I had caught Restore in some brilliant trap because Restore calls for banning halal butchering so he’d also be inadvertently banning kosher butchering—‘haha!’ I said, ‘Lowe’s caught himself in a right pickle!’ I said—but lo and behold, he admit it!

Restore Britain is the only serious party that will ban both halal and kosher slaughter. Tomorrow, in Greater Manchester, voters have the chance to endorse that.
In addition our candidate, Marlon West, has pledged to ensure that NO school across Greater Manchester is secretly serving halal meat to children…...see more

The EHRC code of practice comes in today, bringing in to the UK the most draconian regime for single sex spaces targeting trans people for a liberal democracy in the industrialised, under what is our nominally left of centre governing party.

British politics & those professionally employed to comment on it, make a great deal more sense when you realise it is largely an explicit joint enterprise to ensure the Tory Party remains a respectable endeavour, no matter the depths of evil, duplicity or crackpottery it descends to

Hodges is an occasionally useful guy to keep an eye on, mainly because he’ll say things that his less stupid colleagues are smart enough to keep to themselves.

Some Labour MPs could do with dialling down their moral outrage a little this morning. It's not long ago their party so was riddled with anti-Semitism some of their Jewish colleagues were forced to leave it.
And they tolerated it for reasons of personal political expediency.

No, Labour were denying there was an issue.
The Tories have acknowledged Joshua Bonehill-Paine's history, as has he, and have confronted it openly.

It really isn't a "conspiracy theory" to state that at least one of the reasons Burnham won't investigate Epstein's abuses in the UK is because he was given his seat and enabled to become PM by Labour Together, an org founded and managed by acolytes of Epstein's friend Peter Mandelson.

Victims’ minister said earlier that PM was ‘looking into’ inquiry into Epstein and another into Mohamed Al Fayed

important to remember this is not new information and was known at the time. a choice was made to conflate Berger's dispute with her local party and the serious crimes she was a victim of, and that's on the part of journalists as well as Berger herself.

So Luciana Berger was abused by a fascist who is now a Tory candidate despite his criminal conviction over it, but at the time she allowed everyone to think that the whole thing was about "the antisemitic Labour left"?

It's never been so obvious that the Scriveners Guild has their own NATO Article 5—an attack against one is an attack against all. In this case, the response entails forming square around the cadaver of a bloke who repeatedly questioned the illegality of pædophilia & committed domestic violence 🙃.

People on BlueSky are celebrating Rod Liddle's demise

Also a truly incredible thing that just as the press have very clearly decided they’re going to stomp Farage down and move back to a straight Tory vs Labour fight, the Tory leader has decided that is the perfect moment to declare “actually this neo-Nazi is helping to fight extremism (left wing)”.

A reminder of what Joshua Bonehill-Paine did in 2015 (it doesn’t mention that him and his friends later came to Golders Green to video themselves eating pork pies, which they presented as a subversive act 😂) www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015...

A rare 9-0 SCOTUS ruling. Will enable "special laws to make the Palestinian Authority submit to US jurisdiction against its will if it continued to provide families of martyred Palestinians with salaries." Just layers and layers of hypocrisy.

The main reasons "centrists" want more right wing voices on any platform is so that their own views get less scrutiny and they can default to being the "truth" in the middle. "Centrist": 100ks more people should've died of COVID Their fash friend: Millions. "Centrist": See I'm moderate.

Reminder that the Tories believe any non-British person who commits more than a minor parking or traffic offence should be automatically deported. They “believe in second chances”, apparently, but only for literal Nazis.

Kemi Badenoch defends selection of man jailed for harassing Jewish MP in council election – as it happened

Conservative leader tells press she stands by decision to select Joshua Bonehill-Paine as a candidate for local election in Somerset

Arrived in Turkey, pals. But not without managing to delay my own flight & turn my exasperated fellow passengers against me. Short 🧵 of cringe on the Gatwick runway

Incredible shit here: the guy Badenoch is defending was sent to prison for sending racist abuse to the MP Luciana Berger. Who then did a whole series of interviews and columns talking about her criminal harassment by Nazis, in a manner intended to make listeners believe it was done by Labour members

flyingrodent@flyingrodent.bsky.social · 2d ago

Even I am taken aback at the new and surprising ways these people find to insult the public’s intelligence and make it more clear the only operative professional standard in force is “LOL fuck you”

Badenoch said: "So I want to be very clear, and I think people can look at me and know that I'm not a person who would be recruiting neo-Nazis to the Conservative Party.
"Joshua Bonehill-Paine is someone who actually has been certified by the Home Office to train police officers on anti-Semitism and on countering extremism.
"Yes, he is somebody who had been previously convicted for this, but he is someone has shown contrition for his crimes, has been rehabilitated and is spending every day working to solve the very problem which he knew he had caused previously.
"He's going up and down the country training people and the Conservative Party believes in second chances.
"This is not just someone that we've picked up who's a convicted criminal, this is somebody who is actively working to help communities, especially Jewish communities and this is what I want to see.
"I want second chances for people, for people who've learned their lessons, for people who are showing that they know what they did was wrong.
"What I don't want to see is early release of people who have no contrition whatsoever, who don't care, and who are going to be out on the streets actually harming people.

The burden is always on us lefties to welcome them, debate them, compromise with them, find middle ground, and generally make them comfortable. It’s totally one directional. No one is calling for Truth Social to make any room for us.
