Novels & games chap. Johannes Cabal, Carter & Lovecraft, THE SHADOW ON THE GLASS for "Call of Cthulhu," Kyth the Taker, Goon Squad, co-wrote BROKEN SWORD I-III, principal writer on the BAFTA-winning ATOMFALL. All my fault. Sorry. UK. Portrait: Small Robot

Here’s the latest stop motion animation from my Tiny Angry Witch team. (I’m the writer, I can’t take credit for the animating!) It’s one of our longest, and it nearly drove us all mad, but we’re really proud of getting it made! 1 x Tiny Angry Witch 1 x broom No AI

Reminding my American friends to check to make sure they're registered to vote way before November. Even if you think you are - doublecheck just to make sure you don't fall pray to shennanigans.

Liddle, AA Gill, Littlejohn, Coren, Delingpole, and -- off in the shadows -- Gove. Boris Johnson's a busted flush at present and is keeping his head relatively low, but he'll go loud when he sees his moment. How did any of these people ever get a pulpit? Yes, that's a rhetorical question.

in the epic The People Vs UK Media court case of our dreams, Liddle wouldn't be Exhibit A, but he'd certainly be an exhibit. handsomely remunerated throughout his life for spraying bile across the pages of whichever sociopathic rag would pay him. nice to the right people. had the correct prejudices

Yesss @neonhemlock.bsky.social met its initial funding goal for the novella series! Another 2k and you’ll get my novella. You want to feel really uncomfortable about roommate dynamics, right? You want to process your pre 2024 election feelings, right? Well: www.kickstarter.com/projects/dav...

Fancy that. The CEO of Bloomsbury has personally written to me to tell me what a fabulous writer I am. Seems a little unusual to tell me about my own work in a weirdly anodyne and synthetic way, but I'm sure it's legit, just like him using a gmail address to get in touch with me. Definitely kosher.

As I just said, I love using repurposed toys when I can get them. This ex Paw Patrol flier cost me 3 euros in a junk sale. I cut off the carrying handle and remodelled the nose. It's featured as the getaway vehicle for an evil dictator in a couple of Xenos Rampant games already.

Enjoyed it greatly on first release, but trying to rewatch it a few years ago (I got about halfway through), yeah, it hasn't aged well. Given its director and cinematographer (Johns Badham & Alonzo), it's surprisingly plodding. Felt like a very expensive TV pilot rather than a feature film.

Watching BLUE THUNDER (1983). Incredible that they made a movie about pervy LA helicopter cops, maybe the least-liked people in society, and got away with it by casting Roy Scheider and Daniel Stern.

Me: I think I'll come up with a nice, simple adventure plot for a TTRPG. Nothing complicated, just fun shenanigans. *Weeks pass* *Research is done* *New twists, moral complexity, and engaging characters emerge* Me: Hold on... when did this turn into the plot of an adventure novel? *Sweats*
