This is entirely true and I am in the latter category on at least three subjects
there are two types of fans of things- those who treat it like a hobby and understand it's ok to laugh at things you enjoy and those who use it to replace church or whatever in their lives and are very vigilant against Blasphemy
Musk has managed to poison the well to such an extent that we can now only think of platforms as "The Woke Factory" or "you will receive abuse from misogynists, racists and fascists and you will like it", and that's not great - hopefully Bsky does manage to create something in the middle!
Brilliant letter from Stuart Thompson to Jeremy Clarkson about his comments that benefit claimants should write weekly thank you letters to tax payers detailing how they spend their benefits each week.
Absolutely fantastic innings under pressure from Niamh Holland - a supreme talent and my one-time padel partner!
Alex Moreno just got a booking for dissent in a preseason match. You gotta reevaluate things if that's what you're doing, my guy.
Obviously pre-season means nothing but... A midfield of Myles, Ethan and Max is just lovely
It’s mad the speed at which we’ve gone from ‘if burnham steps down, that’ll hand Manchester to reform’ to ‘Labour win Manchester mayoral race by 26 points’ with barely a murmur from our national broadcaster
UEFA spokesperson Dietmar Fumm said to reporters "This decision effectively signals that Gianni Infantino is an enemy of world football". tl;dr: FIFA "foe" - Fumm
I’ve started with a PT recently, and even though I know they’re paid to do it, every time they say ‘Jonny, you’re so strong’ it feels great!
A thing I learned a while back that blew my mind is that men almost never receive compliments, especially cishet men. Giving a man a compliment will literally make their year
I keep six honest serving men, they taught me all I knew, their names are…
When was the last time a prime age elite player left Real Madrid? Was it Ángel Di María? That's stumbling block I have for believing in a Vini move, it just so unpredicted. I can see the reasons and the path, so I hold out hope.
That is pretty awesome hitting from Rutherford, but 164 feels 10-15 light to me
How have we got to the point where a club second XI conceding a midweek game in the middle of the summer holidays gets a headline on the bbc? Just one of the most terrifyingly stupid overreactions I’ve ever seen
Saltburn's first match since allegations of finger-clicking to deceive umpires sparked a league investigation has been called off. The club said they were unable to field a team due to the holiday season.
A TIED LONDON DERBY! MI London and London Spirit finish with scores level at The Oval! Scorecard: srkl.in/6004B7hzwG
Noni Madueke shows up as one of the top similar players comps for Yan Diamonde Is this a red flag for Diamonde or a sign that maybe people too harsh on Madueke?
MI London should still win this, but how do you end up here only two down?
Bill Oddie was the sound of my childhood, listening to tapes of I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again in the car. So many wonderful songs, but this is one of my favourites... www.youtube.com/watch?v=fczz...

This is a jokey thread, but a serious point. Every time we change teams/format we convince ourselves ‘this time it’s forever, so it’s better to be right than have continuity’. But 5 years later we change it all again, alienating everyone.
When I switch on a Hundred match I sometimes struggle to identify which team's which because of the tendency to change the players, the outfits and the team names.
FWIW, my thoughts on Arsenal and vini links: 1. It’s not going to happen. We can’t afford his wages, he’s not going to take a pay cut. 2. If you can buy him, do. Not quite at any price, but close to. Obviously. Hes elite. But I’m not sure he’s a great fit with what Arteta wants from this team
Rehan Ahmed is a gun, and Ferreira is just terrifying. Hell of a batting line up
I get that all elite sportspeople only get there by believing that they are truly exceptional, and maybe Lacroix will be... But imagine being a young French-born defender, looking at Chelsea, with Badiashille, Gusto, Fofana, Sarr and Disasi, and thinking... but it will work out for me!
Watched the first part of arsenal’s season review recently: Took too long to do our major business (Gyokeres) Most signings unknown (Mosquera) or underwhelming (norgaard, Madueke) Lost in preseason to spurs and Villarreal, with minutes for Nelson and kiwior. Assume the season turns out rubbish?
32 (THIRTY-TWO) pictures of Tzolis' first day. Sure. There must be a market for that...
