Anyone near St Luke's Church, at Haslar Hospital, Gosport, Hampshire? Wall tablet there to an RN officer I'm interested in. The text is on the Maritime Monuments Database, which is great, but without a photo of the tablet. Have emailed the Haslar society, but just in case... #MaritimeHistory

What do you call the colour of drought-stricken overmown grass, returning to life after a good night of rain? Sort of yellow gold, but it glows with a bronze undertone that says I am so BACK baby.

"Stand over there, support this, no not too close, and you know how to dial 999 just in case don't you? It'll be loud. Right, I'm turning it on."

Factors that affect reading include poverty and the stress it causes, insecure housing, homework, assessment; cuts to public library services, school library cuts and "pressures on parents and declining reading among adults leading to less role modelling and less shared reading at home."

The airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow is not the only factor which makes it hard to photograph. Add dark, shiny heads and a shallow profile, and catching them sideways on (when you can't see wings or tail) involves more luck than judgement. But it's fun to try, however flawed the result.
