Them/they grey-a Scottish gay

promised: there will be no toilet police delivered: every person you meet - until proven otherwise beyond any doubt - is now eyeballing, imagining, yearning to manhandle your genitals with a hunger more hateful for not even being sexual. You, too, are now this Hobbesian hellbeast to all that see you

This is what they expected and wanted to happen: that members of the public, shown the cops would take their side if they kicked off and went mental at anyone they suspected of being a transgender, would then start going apeshit en masse and enforce their wacko ideas for them.

Women left to enforce single-sex rights, warns former EHRC chief

On the day my country implements a bathroom ban it means so much to be in a room full of awesome trans people, trans elders, and cool folks working on something amazing ❤️‍🩹✊ The fight goes on till we’re all free

Politicians and charities won’t save us. it’s up to us now. Here's what has been done so far and what you can do next. Fight for total trans liberation. xoxo BASH BACK (Thread)

wild situation where accessing meta services without a robust adblocker in the UK could mean YOU have committed a criminal offence we are so far past the point where any sort of healthy govt would have clamped down on big tech. the reasons it hasn't are about 25% tech illiteracy, 75% open bribery

NEW: Over the last few months, Meta has run dozens of paid ads that included AI-generated CSAM. The ads, some of which were linking out to “nudify” apps, targeted men in the US, UK, and a dozen European countries. Some were running in the last few days

Trans Segregation Day. I can no longer assume that it's safe to go to the toilet, use a changing room, or just generally exist outside my own home. No more assuming I can just piss and shit in peace, like the bulk of humanity gets to take for granted. So, I've been stewing on that all day...

I personally find it reassuring and not at all an indication that I'm listening to a dipshit crank when an interview begins with the regular line, "It wouldn't usually be proportionate to have somebody on the door of every single toilet or changing room asking people their sex before they went in."

EHRC chair challenged on how to enforce single-sex toilet rules

We spoke to Mary Ann Stephenson, the chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Today the most markedly hostile anti-trans regulation ever conceived in the UK goes into force - creating legal chaos and an environment of suspicion and hostility targeted at anti-trans segregation with a blast radius that will hit everyone else as well. It is unworkable, unenforceable, and cruel.

Our code of practice for services, public functions and associations comes into force today. It provides practical guidance on how the Equality Act 2010 applies to services, public functions and associations. Find out more: https://ow.ly/alIf50Zwrkx

Quote from Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson: 'At the EHRC we want a society where everyone’s rights are respected and realised, so that we can all live well together. Our statutory guidance will help services across the country comply with the Equality Act, protecting service users from discrimination and harassment while reducing the risk of the provider being subject to litigation.

As Britain’s equality regulator, our work doesn’t end upon publication of this guidance. We monitor compliance with the law and take enforcement action where proportionate and necessary, in line with our well-established regulatory model and decision-making framework.'

This would both be very funny and show how cooked Scottish Labour is. Monica Lennon is the most popular figure in the Labour grassroots, she's the most popular one to the voters Scottish Labour has lost over the past decade. Marra's fixation on preventing her even contesting? Also downs him? Yikes

🔴Most people I speak to in Scottish Labour expect a two\-way contest between Joe Fagan and Michael Marra\.
︀︀
︀︀But some say a coronation for Fagan \- based on Marra failing to secure 2 union nominations \- cannot be ruled out\.
︀︀
︀︀A jittery time for Team Marra\.

No one should feel obliged to do this, but the upcoming anti-trans LGBA Lobby event gives LGBT+ folks a rare chance to confront their transphobic and/or homophobic MP face to face - particularly those MPs who've repeatedly refused to listen to LGBT+ survivors of conversion abuse practices

Daniel Lismore@daniellismore.bsky.social · 10h ago

Hate group LGB Alliance are organising a parliamentary lobby against the conversion practises bill on 1st September. lgballiance.org.uk/conversion-p... these people hate all LGBTQIA+ people.

I must admit, I didn't think we'd get a third day of media types mourning their friend and colleague, the late racist, homophobic, transphobic and self-confessed would-be nonce Rod Liddle. As impossible as it seems, the only conclusion you can draw is that they must've genuinely loved the guy.

I'm so disappointed in so many people over their response- or lack thereof- to the anti trans panic. So many people framed it as "they'll come for us next" instead of "they're coming for trans people now". They weren't wrong- look around- but it was ALWAYS enough to be outraged for trans folk.

"The Labour government has made a choice, one rooted in the patriarchy, to further police women’s bodies and exclude people who do not conform to arbitrary standards of femininity. ..we reject their Code of Practice and the colonial, misogynistic, sexist, and transphobic assumptions they employ" ✊🏼

The bar may have been on the floor, but this Labour government has still managed to crawl beneath it Labour's dangerous Code of Practice cements its place as the most misogynistic administration women in the UK have had to endure in a generation #DoNotComply

-Punched his pregnant girlfriend. -Said he would rape the kids if he was a schoolteacher. -Said chiild sex abuse porn should be legal. Allison Pearson in the Telegraph...
