Prominent movie and tv critics have declared certain years bad for their respective media, full of underwhelming releases in spite of a few bright spots. But I cannot remember the last time a consensus opinion in games said a year was anything other than great. This is weird to me!

I will always hold that transmisogyny is structurally like misogyny in general but instead of labor and care being extracted from women by men, it’s being extracted from trans women by everyone else. This is at the core of every movement, ideology, and pattern of violence that targets trans women.
I’m seeing a lot of people talking about Milo’s racism and naked fascism, but not a lot yet about how he was one of the pioneers in strategic deployment of transmisogyny for fascist recruitment, coalition-splitting, and multi-issue messaging.
Fuck Rocky Horror by the way. Love how a celebrated actor dies and the queer community IMMEDIATELY hyperfixates on the one time he played a harmful transfem stereotype while any trans woman who voices disdain that gets shouted down. Yet another reminder that trans women stand alone. Frustrating.
big day for me as it marks the 21st anniversary of my having started HRT. kind of crazy to have been taking estrogen for longer than 16-year-old me even thought he would be alive. and now look at me, in my mid-40s and happily aging into an old woman’s body. this shit fucking rules.
