Not to diminish the work that Sackey and Hassel are doing--it is fine and difficult work serving and preserving the community and should be praised-- but the recent NCTE and CTT updates make it clear to me that CCCCs was dissolved to remove dissent in the Google Ai take-over of education.

It should be illegal for officials to sign NDAs with the industries they are supposed to regulate. This has nothing to do with protecting legitimate trade secrets from competitors. This is about hiding information from the PUBLIC— from whom they derive the legitimacy required to to act.

I believe we have reached yet another point in time where saying a country did/does X cannot be allowed when the truth of the matter is The leader of that country did/does X without any remorse or sometimes even thought. It is the leader and not the country who should bear the consequences.
I will forever admire Wendell Berry's insistence on living his values through to their natural conclusions and relentlessly ripping through layers of politeness and habit to hold up for judgment those who do not.

That means advocating for that option in e.g. school policies (if we can't get a full ban) but also simply being visible in our own refusal, so that others see it as possible.
I spent 22 years in the Army. I know you don’t replace decades of military leadership overnight. Hegseth and Trump are driving out experienced leaders, dismantling critical training, and doing generational damage to our military. And still Ann Wagner says nothing. Enough is enough.
Who might attack an opponent by filing frivolous complaints that could cause the target's allies to turn against them? Who tries to use systems against opponents because they know their own position is too weak to be effective? Who might have zero problems using Ai to harass people? Buckle up folks
