Short, round, tattooed, Gen X academic with a game dev past. TTRPGs, art, sketching, movies, minis, dogs, tattoos, metal, lefty politics, snark and memes. Goth adjacent but #NotaGoth. Fully anti-AI. Probably neurospicy. She/her.

I've been given a bit of free reign for my Case Studies lectures and am looking to stuff them full of wonderful examples based on existing worlds in literature, film, and games. So I'll be asking for lots of ideas. First one: Your best #sci-fi #villains and why. Go!

Plus: -We has carpet! Minus: -I ruined the newly painted walls while cleaning off the inevitable scuffs. -The carpet fitter peed in and on our toilet and didn't flush. -I paid £40 for them to take away the offcuts and they still left a load. Same as it ever was.

Tomorrow afternoon is our fun Positively Puzzling event, a light-hearted social afternoon with tea/coffee & biscuits included in the cost of £5. There’s no need to book, just turn up at 2pm. It’s all kinds of word puzzles as well as sudoku & visual puzzles etc. Go at your own pace. #Bexhill

The leaflet for the event. “…It’s not Mastermind! It’s a sociable, fun hour for puzzle lovers…At Bexhill Museum, Egerton Road, Bexhill on Sea…”

After much being fucked around of* the carpet fitters are finally getting started on the stairs and landing. One of them is whistling "zippidy doodah" loudly and poorly in an echoey space and apparently, *I must not murder him*. * proper grammer, innit?

If women wore smart glasses, they'd be banned. (soigomaa/x) Think about it. If millions of women wore smart glasses, recording men's behaviour, conversations, comments, their driving & bar chats ... can you imagine the panic? Trust me, smart glasses would be regulated before you can say 'Meta'.

The Times, one of the leading voices when it comes to 'protecting women and girls' calling a man who assaulted his young pregnant girlfriend, said he would rape the kids if he was a teacher and called for child sex abuse porn to be legal, 'brilliant'

Rod Liddle, who has died aged 66, combined a serious intellect with razor-sharp wit, writes Alex Farber

I think this totally fair, but in exchange I want a personal thank you letter from Clarkson for the £250,000 that his farm got from government subsidies that come from my tax money. I don't want a form letter, I want him to write it like he means it.

🚨 NEW: Jeremy Clarkson says benefits claimants should be forced to write a genuine thank you email to a random worker every week “It is SO kind of you to go to work every day so that I don’t have to. Thanks to you I was able to buy an even bigger television this week”
