For the umpteenth time, @duckworth.senate.gov and @durbin.senate.gov, vote NO on KOSA, the SCREEN Act and the CHATBOT Act. These age verification and surveillance bills WILL NOT protect children; they WILL restrict knowledge, censor queer content and make personal data more vulnerable to hackers.

I say again, "These surveillance regimes will not keep you or your children safe because they are actively preying on you": Rather than the predators, people focus on rigidly controlling children's ability to explore the world, from no third spaces to tracked online life,thus making Them targetable

It's hard to overstate how ISOLATING and scary it was with a child under 5 waiting for that under 5 vaccine. The world was kind of moving on and you not only couldn't, you had to be scared for your child every day

What did the most damage to our country was the virus. What did the second most damage to our country was people deciding, since COVID-19 disproportionately impacted service workers and people of color, that it wasn't that big a deal and they were no longer willing to be inconvenienced over it.

From the CNN article: "'Trump, as you recall, wanted to end the lockdowns. I think the thing that did the most damage to our country was the lockdowns,' [RFK Jr.] said."

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time.
