The story of the Turning Point UK chief discussing contract killings with a criminal from the Northern Ireland paramilitary UVF hasn't had a lot of traction in the British press until now- he worked recently in the office of the official Leader of the Opposition, Kemi Badenoch of the Conservatives

Stephen Bush@stephenkb.bsky.social · 3d ago

It's impossible to imagine a Conservative leader having made better decisions over the past two years than the ones Kemi Badenoch has, apparently:

"If you just tried attaching a brain slug yourself, you'd be able to speak with more authority about what being controlled by a brain slug is actually like. By automatically dismissing servitude to the brain slugs, you're really weakening your own argument."

Researchers from London Metropolitan University are recruiting non-binary UK-based research participants for a research study: "Thriving beyond the binary: Experiences of gender euphoria among non-binary people" Contact Jay Urquhart at giu0020@my.londonmet.ac.uk for more information

Research project:
Thriving beyond the binary: Experiences of gender euphoria among non-binary people.

Researcher:
My name is Jay Urquhart (they/them), I am a non-binary trainee psychotherapist, studying for an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy at London Metropolitan University. I am conducting a study that will explore how non-binary people experience, understand and express joy, euphoria and thriving in relation to their gender identity.

Who can participate?
•        Aged 18 and over;
•        Self-identify as non-binary or use another term for your gender outside the male/female binary, such as gender-fluid, genderqueer, gender-neutral, agender or bigender;
• Feel able to discuss own experiences of gender identity, joy, euphoria and/or thriving.

What will happen during the interview?
The interview will last approximately 90 minutes and will explore experiences of joy, euphoria and thriving in relation to your gender identity. You will be invited to share 3-5 photographs or images that represent joy, euphoria or thriving, which will be the focus of the interview.

What are the advantages of taking part in the research?
It is hoped that findings from this study will help to increase understanding of non-binary joy, euphoria and thriving, and may also contribute to more affirmative discussions within counselling, psychotherapy and wider research by highlighting experiences of wellbeing, resilience, belonging and self-expression among non-binary people.

I literally don’t know a single woman who hasn’t been raped, stalked, groped, harassed, or sexually violated in some way at some point in their life. If you choose to doubt and dox survivors, just know every woman in your life is disgusted by you.

Not all men. Jesus Christ, don't you think women *know* that? Use your heads instead of getting defensive. Most of you would be terrified of swimming among sharks, even though sharks are stastically far less dangerous to you than men are to women.

DVDs aren't low-tech. They're just things you can actually own, that won't disappear overnight, that don't require a monthly subscription, that won't suddenly get reedited, that won't start putting adverts in the middle and that won't sell your data to the worst people in the world.

Perhaps you’ve ditched algorithmically curated playlists for vinyl and enjoy DVDs rather than streaming

Danny Tommo has been filmed slashing a dinghy in the channel containing migrants and a rescue worker on board. There is no mention of this on the BBC news website at all as far as I can see. Yet when he and his thugs turn up in masks it's all "Legitimate protestors show ankle in Dover".

Far-right activist Daniel Thomas slashes dinghy in Channel with blade while rescue worker onboard

Thomas called followers to protest against arrival of asylum seekers in Gosport, but Border Force instead transported them to Dover

Do people smugglers and maybe some people getting across do so with the knowledge that the RNLI is going to do all it can to bring them to sure Yeah, probably. But the idea that this would be a better situation if 10s of thousands of people were left to drown in the channel is horrific

Worrying scenes in the Channel today, for all interested in asylum policy and maritime tactics. A small boat from Normandy spent more than 30 hours at sea. Those on board now on their 2nd rescue vessel as Border Force forced to play cat and mouse with far-right activists who have their own boat.

I get so frustrated in conversation about legislation when people talk about guidance for "women and trans people". Those are not mutually exclusive categories. Also, cis dudes are allowed to exist and be protected when they pee, right?

A lifeboat crew responds to a call and finds a dingy in distress full of migrant men, women and children. Do they leave or rescue them? No-one with a shred of humanity would turn round and head back.

Just look at the glee on Nigel Farage’s face as he watches a Piddington resident cry about the overt racism she, her Caribbean heritage husband, and their two children have felt in the village during the referendum. Time and again he’s showing us exactly who he is.
