We are young despite the years We are concern We are hope despite the times

It’s in this hot AF part of the summer, surrounded by wildfire smoke from thousands of miles away, unable to eat lettuce that I find myself thinking maybe we should’ve made some different decisions.

So I guess the cherished dream of a Senate candidate, who, sure, had a Nazi tattoo, and, yes, left racist and homophobic posts on Reddit, and, okay, sexted every woman in the Maine phone directory while married, but maybe, just maybe, perhaps, fingers-crossed, wasn’t a full-on rapist, has died.

I see people have very specific idea and opinions about how Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce should celebrate their wedding this weekend. Guys, you can do that with your own wedding. This one's theirs. They get to do what they like.

Obama shouts out "those ordinary people in the Twin Cities who braved frigid temperatures, risked their own safety, standing shoulder to shoulder to look our for their neighbors and sometimes for strangers because they knew that was the right thing to do"

The violence in Belfast is a reminder of something I don’t want to take for granted: The fascists here hoped the response to the depredations of ICE would be similar, with people turning in or attacking their neighbors. That it was the very opposite is worth remembering in this season of despair

If nothing else, l'affaire Platner has been a good cautionary reminder that there are misogynist POSs on the left too -- in fact, there's a strain of leftism that *embraces* misogyny -- and it's important to remain vigilant and not let them get a foot in the door.

More than half of the publicly identified donors to Trump's White House ballroom project have won new or expanded federal contracts worth more than $50 billion during the past six months, according to a report released by a government watchdog group.

As a veteran™️, I don't think normies get how much of a red flag it is that *none* of the people Platner served with have gone on record to say even something basic like "oh yeah, we were in the same company, didn't know him well but he seemed like a good guy".

Interesting that none of the other Marines who supposedly went to that tattoo parlor in Croatia while drunk have gone on record.
