A lot of what went wrong with post-secondary in the last decades was trying to adapt a system (largely speaking of liberal arts, not professional studies) that was initially setup to teach a small number of elites to something more commoditized.

This is probably a good example of the differences between Trump's first and second term. In his first term he was no less wicked and cruel but he still had a kind of lizard sense of politics and knew that perceptions of chaos and instability were bad for him. Now it's all stove touching.

This is one of the most thorough and accurate eviscerations of a dishonest, self-serving politician that I have ever read.

They don’t have values. They have a deep-seated desire to hurt someone and are searching for a morally permissible reason to do so. They WANT their targets to be bigots, because they think that makes it moral to be cruel. They will INVENT offenses you committed so they have an excuse to hurt you.

Just crazy that the *actual* king of England is explaining the limits on the executive branch under Anglo-American constitutional law — to the U.S. Congress.

Fun and maybe surprising that'd he do it, but not crazy in a substantive sense, since the Westminster parliamentary system has proven infinitely better than the much-vaunted American system of checks and balances on this very issue.
