The same thing happened in Ohio to a trans man a few years ago. He used a public bathroom (that the owner of a campsite, who knew him, TOLD him to use) and a mob attacked him. He didn't fight back but when police showed up, they still arrested him. So. This is why trans people are afraid to pee.

A trans couple has been brutalized by a mob, and then the trans woman ended up being arrested afterwards, at a public bathroom in Louisiana. EITM writer S Baum investigates this horrible act of violence in our latest piece. www.erininthemorning.com/p/trans-coup...

Ah this really hits.. Especially the part about feeling deep SHAME at not being able to go sometimes, because the fear of being "caught" is so intense.. I have a list of places with gender neutral restrooms on our Maps, and before we go anywhere I have to find places around I know will have them...

Posthumous uncanny AI of me speaking at my own funeral: You were all right, the pronouns were too hard and really annoying and I was rude when I corrected you. Chicken marinara. Seven plus three is twelve My parents: It's so nice to get closure, it really sounds just like her

It is 2006. I am 22. The US is mired in a costly Forever War. A predictable historic market collapse looms. I do not have health insurance. It is 2026. I am 42. The US is mired in a costly Forever War. A predictable historic market collapse looms. I do not have health insurance.

a $20 boot lasts a month but a $200 boot lasts 50 years but the company that makes the $200 boot got bought out by private equity and changed factories to the same one that makes the $20 boot so now it only lasts a year but another company bought the original factory and is selling boots for $400

"people long for cheap disposable things" or buying goods has become a crapshoot of quality and people are focusing on the only signals that are reliable: price and social signals

Our new vet is being weirdly gatekeepy about pills and I had to explain that dogs don't take pills great and sometimes spit them out and then you really can't get that pill back in them all wet and tasting like shit, so you might need *gasp* an extra fucking pill How are vets this obtuse?
