Last-minute news, but I'll be reading with @mai-linhhong.bsky.social at @belmontbooks.bsky.social this Tuesday night. If you are not on the cape or in Maine with everybody else, I'd love to see you there!

My debut collection, ABIDE, is now available for pre-order and has this dream of a cover with artwork by Jill Schwaiko and design by Nick Fedorchak of @ashlandpoetrypress.bsky.social. I get a little teary every time I look at it – can’t believe it’s real!
My copy is ordered and I can't wait for what I know will be a beautiful and moving work...
Thrilled to share that my new collection—Rare Good: Essays on Art, Autism, and Astonishment—is available for pre-order! It’s a book about belonging & becoming & finding our way together. I hope you will read it. ❤️ www.nebraskapress.unl.edu/nebraska/978...

I am very much looking forward to reading with this wonderful group of poets at Robbins Library in Arlington at 7pm on Tuesday night, and I'd love to see you there! Gratitude to outgoing Arlington Poet Laureate Jean Flanagan for the invitation. ❤️
I really needed to read this today. Maybe you do, too. ❤️
My Sunday message: A poem doesn’t have to say anything useful or profound. It just has to call you home.
Hi! You're seeing this because someone noticed you posting an image that doesn't contain alt text. This is not a scolding! You are loved! But everyone needs to be convinced using alt text is socially mandatory. (I sure had to be shown the way as well!) Would you mind reading this🧵 about it and why?

I recommend no fewer than 4 copies of any beloved book. A paperback for traveling and lending to friends, an eBook for reading with greasy snack fingers, an audio book so you know how the characters' names are actually pronounced, and a pristine hardcover to be buried with you like a pharaoh
It has been a long while since I've read a book I disliked as much as the one I just finished, and it's a good reminder that not every book is for everyone. And that's okay! Read what you like and write what you need to--someone out there might hate it, but others will love it.
Word of the day is ‘librocubicularist’: one who loves nothing better than reading in bed. (Not easy to say, but I’m glad to know it exists).
What if, instead of trying to have a productive writing day, you aimed for a satisfying one instead?
Can we do a POET Roll Call to see who's all here? #poetrycommunity Drop a note, reshare, etc.--let's see who's here!

I'm looking forward to reading and talking with Deborah DeNicola at The Betsy in Miami, with huge thanks to @swwim.bsky.social! Tomorrow night: in person or livestreamed on Facebook and Instagram.

Once I die, "bemused" can mean "wryly amused" and "nonplussed" can mean "cool as a cucumber." Not until.
"bemused" is (one of my) bêtes noires.

If you're in the Arlington area and you're interested in getting going on a slew of new poems, please consider my Poetry Jump-Start, a one-night generative workshop with Arlington Community Education next Wednesday, May 8. I'd love to see you there!

Just once, in-continuity, i want someone to go, "you're not gonna decompose ME down to my component waveforms and reconstitute my essential pattern someplace else! That's basically just murdering and cloning me!" And then the bored transporter tech just says, "Ship of Theseus," & slides them sliders
