The big literary discourse on twitter right now is whether The Hobbit—a children’s book that won children’s lit awards and was literally written for the author’s children—is appropriate reading for children or in fact such a difficult book most adults can’t “get their head around” it.

Hakui is a human-appearing aasimar who was raised by hobgoblins. She has a winged, celestial form. This version of Hakui touched the wrong book and was stolen away into a plane that is constantly mutating her form. Now, her bones are always aching, and her radiant light burns her from inside.

Regi was designed for a Curse of Strahd campaign as a scientist from a noble human bloodline. She was experimenting with bloodborne curses when she contracted lycanthropy in her lab. Her current incarnation escaped her parents' basement and is taking down the church one evil spider at a time.
