People are way too cynical about games shows. Yes they're capitalist and stupid but there's a lot of devs showing off *sees Digitally Recreated Tupac for the 4th time in my life and my body clenches up* GAMES THEY PUT THEIR BODY AND SOUL INTO AND WE SHOULD.... RESPECT...

Just putting this out there as we as a studio have no interest in generative AI, and it's upsetting for it to look like I'm going to be attending this or have any sort of connection to it. I've contacted @bafta.org in the hopes of getting the photo removed.

It's come to my attention that @bafta.org is using a photo for a talk I did in 2024 for a talk coming up this year about generative AI. I have no association with it what so ever and want to make it clear that I am NOT participating in this event nor will be attending it.

A photo of myself and another panelist from a talk in 2024 being used for an event this year with a different title.

when I watch movies, I don't go to see ME and my specific vision. I wanna see someone else's life and vision, and I hope that I see glimpses of me and humanity in its flaws and glory to feel connected to others. AI will never ever achieve this and the Russos are dipshit hacks for not knowing this.

Jesus Christ, this is more dystopic than anything Philip K Dick ever wrote but it’s what the Russo Brothers want for your AI Slop future

“Potentially, what you could do with [AI] is obviously use it to engineer storytelling and change storytelling,” Russo said. “So you have a constantly evolving story, either in a game or in a movie or a TV show. You could walk into your house and save the AI on your streaming platform. ‘Hey, I want a movie starring my photoreal avatar and Marilyn Monroe’s photoreal avatar. I want it to be a rom-com because I’ve had a rough day,’ and it renders a very competent story with dialogue that mimics your voice. It mimics your voice, and suddenly now you have a rom-com starring you that’s 90 minutes long. So you can curate your story specifically to you.”

It really frustrates me that we continue to nominate and give awards for queer content to big AAA assholes doing the bare minimum with their eyes rolling and lips curled when there are so many queer indies out there putting their hearts on platters that get ignored because they don't have the budget

Acknowledging these award nominations on X, Vávra says that he's "really proud" of receiving both of them, but that he believes the romance was handled "without shoving it down anyone’s throat or trying to re-educate them like so many titles that are rigtfully (sic) called 'woke' these days".Vávra, who also opened his post with the phrase "TRIGGER WARNING!", also says that despite his game's nominations, he still finds "the abundance of forced “woke” nonsense in the entertainment industry annoying" on a personal level.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 creative director Daniel Vávra has praised a nomination his game has received from the Gayming Awards, but the way he's chosen to do so is...interesting.
