I truly, deeply, sincerely do think the guy flipping burgers at McDonalds should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That's kind of the whole point of having a job and I can't believe this is considered a radical position.🤷🏽‍♀️

I love that the cure for a bunch of terminal aether maladies in FFXIV is just porxies. Imagine being told by doctors that you're dying but there's a cure and it's, like. Just a cute flying pig that flutters around and makes you feel warm. It's like being prescribed kittens. God I wish that was real

I think it's important a lot of you understand many thigns people call "controversies" don't actually exist. They are inventing opposition to things because that's their business model. Nothing can ever be good enough because if there's nothing to be mad about, they lose their audience.

Yeah I saw this game and immediately thought it had GenAI, when I went to look it up I saw a lot of evidence that it does and saw people getting pissy going "bUt tHe sTeAm pAgE DoEsNt dIsClOsE It sO It cAnT HaVe iT" as if devs and companies havent lied to steam before🙄

Aniimo Pawprint Studios. NO disclosure, claimed they didn't use any and you wouldn't find any in their game. Players found it and have been calling it out since 2025, "sketch art", promotional material and in-game. -y

this is so true, like peoples understanding of trauma dumping now="acknowledging trauma" rather than "trapping someone into performing emotional work" Like I think it's been largely co-opted by people who just feel annoyed whenever they're expected to be there for a friend on a bare minimum level

tumblr post reading "the first time i heard the term "trauma dumping" it was in the context of twitch chatters using text to speech donations to vent to the streamer. and i was like. oh i get it, trauma dumping is when you trap a stranger into comforting you because theyre paid to be nice and cant easily exit the social interaction. like making the waitress console you through your break up. but ive later learned trauma dumping is when you (check notes) talk to your friends about your problems too often? or have problems that make them uncomfortable i guess. i dont know. i think i preferred my version honestly."

Every news outlet shames itself by using the word “skeptic.” Skeptic implies someone waiting for evidence, not someone committed to ignoring it. Vaccine denialism does not deserve to be lent the prestige of critical thinking.
