With the gag in place the mouth stayed open, this was particularly useful if the patient had a condition such as lockjaw.

The religious right lost on marriage equality, and immediately started going after trans people instead. That's what happened.
Guys, we've been over this, don't censor your trigger warnings. The muting function doesn't work if you fuck up the spelling, and nobody can reasonably mute all the different ways people censor words. Just don't do it. You are helping nobody by doing that.
