A message to trans + people in the UK. Carry on using the facilities you feel most comfortable in from tomorrow. Your comfort matters. Your right to exist in public life matters. The guidance is completely unworkable and it will fail!!

@amnestyuk.bsky.social We would like to remind you of your 'About us' page: "We believe in world where everyone enjoys their rights freely, is treated fairly, and lives without fear." If you no longer stand by this principle, maybe you should retract that also. www.amnesty.org.uk/about/who-we...

@amnestyuk.bsky.social are now bending the knee to the anti-rights movement. Congratulations on adding yourselves to your own retracted report. You have opened the door to further SLAPPs from any organisations that do not agree with you. www.amnesty.org.uk/latest/an-ap...

Tomorrow, Lord Walney, who was responsible in part for the proscription of Palestine Action, will publish an article in The Times arguing that BASH BACK be proscribed as a terrorist organisation. We will not be intimidated. Neither should you. xoxo BASH BACK

The continued absence of reporting on yesterday's Trans Pride march by the Guardian is disgraceful. No surprise as it fits with its inclination to post transphobic articles. Anyone still subscribing to them should think again, the editorial bias is clear, it's independence a lie.

Theres a lot of loud hateful voices, but days like this prove there's way more of us than them. Here are messages from Trans+ Pride to the community and allies 🏳️‍⚧️

There's a long history of bigots inventing words / phrases to redefine their bigtory. Scepticism implies honest inquiry and I guarantee that the vast majority of transphobes who say "consult a biology textbook" have learned everything they know about trans people from other transphobes online. 1/

Can anyone persuade Dawn to consult a Biology textbook ?

And 'Transphobia' is quite different in meaning from 'Transscepticism'

Calling scepticism 'phobic' is trying the win the argument before it has taken place

I'm not saying she's necessarily the stupidest person of all time, but she's definitely the person with the biggest ever gap between how clever they think they are, and how stupid they actually are.

JKR: Trouble is, 'trans' isn't an adjective. 'Trans woman' is a compound noun meaning 'man who wants to be considered a woman.' If the individual being described isn't trans, he's simply a man, whereas a bespectacled woman remains a woman even if she's not wearing glasses.

Stop Sex Matters spreading transphobic hate @goodlawproject.org have identified 46 examples, including harassment and discrimination, which they think break charity law. Email the Charity Commission and the culture minister now, and make sure they stop charities spreading hate.

Stop Sex Matters spreading transphobic hate

The anti-trans pressure group Sex Matters are running a campaign of hate, spewing abuse online and in the media – and putting trans people in danger. Sex Matters say they work to “protect everybody’s ...

🚨 Bridget Phillipson remains as the Minister for Women and Equalities After FWS Phillipson publicly stated that trans women should use men's toilets. She recently signed into force harmful & discriminatory statutory guidance which will devastate trans lives. Suggests no change re. trans rights.

This is absolutely absurd. Scottish transphobes post worse about trans people, including Heather, all the time and the police sit on their hands. JKR posted an upskirt photo of a trans person, a clear crime, just this week. No action. Talk about two tier policing. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Today the Parliamentary scrutiny period for the draft Code of Practice ends. It still requires a commencement order to come into force. It does not happen automatically today. Labour could still, in theory, choose not to do this.

The absolute cruelty wrought by the EHRC, Judiciary and the Labour government has set human rights back decades. As bigots celebrate in FWS those of us on the frontlines are left to ponder our next steps in a country becoming increasingly as hostile as Mother Russia www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

No listened to voices, no choices, no freedoms. Governing bodies simply willing to go along with whatever their monied overlords desires are regardless of the horrors inflicted on those they should really serve.
