The descent into the unconscious is always dangerous. It can be visualized as being devoured by the whale-dragon, as going down into a dark cave or into the castle of the evil magician. We go there to get something. As a rule, it is a valuable treasure or a precious stone.~Jung

El-Sayed: "Once a government agency like ICE is told it has impunity to do the worst things and violate the highest law of the land, which is the Constitution itself, I don't think you can reform or retrain. I think we need to start from scratch ... I think we need to abolish it."

Mainstream media isn’t talking about it, but bulldozers and construction crews have descended upon Texas’ Big Bend National Park as the Trump administration moves forward with its border barrier project. The project will permanently damage one of our nation’s greatest natural treasures.

Eighty-one years ago on Thursday, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, reducing the city to ruins, killing tens of thousands of people and bringing the world “face to face with the catastrophic power of nuclear war”.

The Fort Lawton Redevelopment Project will convert a former Army base into 500 affordable housing units. I was proud to secure $850,000 for this project in the 2026 budget. This is such an important project to keep people housed and safe.

The Trump administration is sending tariff refunds, including $2.2 billion to Apple and $600 million to Amazon. But American consumers? $0. Once again, corporations get billions to line their pockets while Americans pay the price.

A writer is a person who cares what words mean, what they say, how they say it. Writers know words are their way towards truth and freedom, and so they use them with care, with thought, with fear, with delight. By using words well they strengthen their souls.

The judge made clear he believed the law left him with no choice. Combined with a similar ruling involving Proud Boys members last month, it effectively closes the book on the Justice Department’s Jan. 6 criminal investigation. Case docket and court filings here: www.nacdl.org/brief/United...

A disappointing decision. A federal judge reluctantly dismissed the remaining criminal charges against eight Oath Keepers charged with seditious conspiracy in the Jan. 6 attack after the Justice Department requested the case be thrown out.

Absolutely unbelievable how solar power has taken off worldwide during the Hormuz oil crisis. You don't have to hand it to him, but Trump may have done more to finally kick off a global civilization of effete librul solar users than anyone else in the West

Chart showing solar panel exports from China (the main solar panel maker by a long shot) growing steadily & mightily from 2018 through 2026, then spiking by almost 2x in March 2026.

Today is the day our Indian Pueblo bill gets marked up in the Senate! This bill will return almost 10 acres of land to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque. Grateful to our colleagues for their bipartisan support for this bill and the IPCC—which is right in the heart of our community!

Morning dream: casual wooded resort hanging out at lake with Alex Stubb, half of water already freezing, people already skating, teasing about my ice hockey ignorance, but we hear rumor about a resident crocodile, race out riding seahorses, and Stubb rests his head in my lap.

A federal appeals court has ruled the EPA “likely acted unlawfully” in canceling billions of dollars in Biden-era climate grants. The funding remains temporarily frozen while the Trump administration decides whether to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
