El Sayed: "When it comes to trans rights, this is the right to get the health care that you need...It’s the right not to be discriminated against by your government because of who you are. Because what tends to happen is they come for theirs, then they come for yours"

The idea that we can assent to the taking away of anybody’s rights, and think that somehow the government won’t come for all of our rights, is itself the problem. And, look, I don’t need people to understand how they use their rights. I just need people to agree that the government shouldn’t be able to take any of our rights. I put my face on the ground thirty-four times a day, David. Most people don’t understand why I do it. I don’t need them to understand. I just want to have the right to do it. And when people decide that they want to take away my right to do that, I’ve got a problem. Now, I hope that everybody’s going to show up and say, No, no, no. You can’t stop that person or that community from reflecting and praying as they choose. Similarly, when it comes to trans rights, this is the right to get the health care that you need. That’s really what it comes down to. It’s the right to be who you are. It’s the right not to be discriminated against by your government because of who you are. Because what tends to happen is they come for theirs, then they come for yours, then they come for theirs. And at some point you live in a society where rights are negotiable, and that is not the America I was born in. It’s not the America I know and love. It’s not the America I’m going to allow somebody like Donald Trump to give us.

💢 President Donald Trump clarifies that Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s campaign to “bring the International Criminal Court to heel” is intended to protect Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and others facing ICC scrutiny.

Speaking at Camp David, Rubio said: “The International Criminal Court has made themselves illegitimate because they claim that even if you’re not a member of that court, we can come after you… They’re very arrogant. So we’ve now begun an effort to really try to bring them to heel.”

Trump interjected to make Rubio’s objective clear: “He’s trying to defend Bibi and various other people.”

The U.S. President said Rubio’s campaign against the ICC has nothing to do with protecting him.

Amy Acton is the 3rd most evil Democratic candidate to make it past their initial primary date this cycle, after Maureen Galindo & Graham Platner. Her comments on trans people make Gavin Newsom look like Bernie by comparison. She crossed a red line — we can’t let her infect the Democratic Party

2. Earlier this week, Ohio's Dem nominee for gov, Amy Acton, made headlines for calling trans girls "boys" and declaring that she would enforce Ohio's sports ban, which she cast as a matter of "fairness" and "kids' health and safety." www.erininthemorning.com/p/dem-ohio-g...

Petition organizer Giovanni Galante, a Trump donor, has described Mamdani as “’a Muslim that has thoughts to get rid of all Jewish people, and to agree with 9/11.’ At another point in the interview, Galante claimed Mamdani ‘believes 9/11 should have happened to us.’”

“By Monday evening, the story had hit CBS News New York. ‘Thousands of 9/11 victims' families are asking New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani not to attend this year's solemn remembrance ceremony,’ the network reported. After Popular Information reached out for comment, that line was removed.”

This is one of six anti-LGBTQ+ riders in the new national security and state department appropriations bill for 2027. Notice how the frame of opposing pediatric GAC is used to shoehorn in opposition to trans people writ large. What a weirdly concise illustration of exactly how we got here.

🚨 Israeli strike hits near journalists' gathering spot, outside hospital gate

An Israeli strike hit outside the gate of Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital compound in central Gaza, next to a public workspace where journalists routinely gather.

Footage captured by Drop Site contributor Mohamed Ahmed shows the bloody aftermath of the attack, with several wounded rushed into the hospital.

"I found blood on the ground, the wounded, and martyrs. I even carried one of the injured people inside Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital," eyewitness Mohammed Ibrahim told Drop Site.

"There is no safe place—not a street, not a shop, not a hospital, not a house."

Journalist Amer Al-Farra, who was working in the public workspace when the strike hit, said they had been "carrying out journalistic and professional duties" when the explosion sent glass and shrapnel into their midst.

"We were sitting here because we believed this was a safe place in front of a hospital," he said. "There is no safe place in the Gaza Strip."

At least six Palestinians have been killed and more than 20 wounded in Israeli attacks across Gaza since this morning, according to Al Jazeera.

Absolutely heartbreaking letter from the mother of Alex Pretti, six months after his murder by ICE agents. How is it possible that we still haven’t seen even a hint of justice for such a heinous crime?

Taylor Farms (the shitty lettuce people) gave more than we thought. They gave $3.8 Million in political campaign funds to Trump and MAGA politicians. With this shitty news I think it important we talk to their employees in Mexico. How much do they get paid? Any benefits? Using harmful pesticides?
