It's important to note that McMorrow, Stevens, Schumer, Gillibrand, and Mayor Pete have all endorsed AES. Just as Hochul, Hestie, Martin, and Jeffries all endorsed Mamdani.
It *might* have some impact on the future of the party if AES wins and is widely regarded as a successful politician that other Dems should emulate, but it's that kind of concrete stuff, not this mushy "soul of the party" stuff.

It’s only 8 AM and I’m already tired of takes blaming voters for going out and stating their preferences in a primary election. Getting mad at voters, hundreds of thousands of them, for voting for who they wanted and not who you think was “savvy” is foolish.

While AES’ win wasn’t as dominant as we all thought it was going to be, and that does make me adjust my priors on him, overcoming a 10:1 spending disadvantage does demonstrate some serious chops.

Regardless of how it turns out NO HE DIDN’T. It’s like saying I have more fingers on my left hand after counting 8 digits from left to right with a ring finger and a pinky still to report.
Looks like a 10-15 point polling miss in Michigan regardless of who wins. And people have been writing a lot of electability takes using this data. It’s dangerous out there folks be safe
At the risk of ruining my mentions, I want to remind my centrist friends that “vote blue no matter who” also applies when Dems nominate a leftist. We need to be single focused on winning back the Senate. We cannot do that without Michigan.
I know a lot of people in Michigan are maybe gonna feel a little sad or angry or resentful tonight. And I get it. I don't like seeing Skubal on the mound for the Dodgers either. We'll get through this. We don't have to watch if we don't want to.
The GWOT was a horrible stew of Islamophobia, but Dubya was always willing to go on TV and proclaim Islam a religion of peace. Trump and Rogers will not be so restrained.

But here’s a prediction I make with great confidence: If Stevens wins narrowly, & it’s in part because she dominated w Black voters, this place is going to get real ugly.
4/ each sides victim/self affirmation Stuart Smalley narrative and most of those really cannot withstand first contact with the actual facts.
