Matthew Shepard died on October 12th in 1998, 28 years ago. His ashes were interred at Washington National Cathedral 20 years later, in 2018, because before Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson offered the Cathedral's crypt, his family had no place for him that would be safe from desecration.

I did a panel at NYCC yesterday, and today I see an audience member post about how they were sick on the last day, but “felt energized walking through artist alley.” Just a reminder that these events are super high exposure and we can’t assume people will stay home OR mask up when sick 😩

Me at NYCC waiting for my badge. I’m wearing a black Zimi p100 mask with a mask chain, a black cap with eyes on it, a blue sweatshirt, and a shiny blue rain jacket. I’m a white androgynous person in my 30s with brown shaggy hair.

Few things to remember about the Cartoon Network production art leak: 1) I doubt many artists are upset. Most of them are probably happy that people can finally see their work. Can't speak for everyone, obviously, but... likely. There are probably a few artists who can update portfolios now.

Experimental post: The Duality of Whacka In the Switch version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Whacka can finally be fought, and has a suspiciously specific 108 HP. The game both offers a ridiculously simplistic explanation for this as well as a complex one steeped in Dharmic symbolism.

In Paper Mario, the original version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and Super Paper Mario, Whacka was just a harmless whack-a-mole creature that could be abused to get Whacka Bumps, extremely valuable healing items. After being hit enough times, the Whacka goes extinct, teaching the players the consequences of their actions. However, in the Switch version of Paper Mario: TTYD, he instead moves to the bottom of the Pit of 100 Trials and becomes an optional superboss with 108 HP.
He is fought at the bottom of the Pit of 100 Trials and has to be hit 8 times in order for the fight to activate.
