Today is a particularly good day to support trans mutual aid as a concrete way to fight back against the fuckers trying to take their healthcare and other rights away. 🧵 of a few groups, campaigns, and individuals you can donate to:

this anti-surveillance protesting and direct action guide that I helped to organize and create in 2020 is still as relevant as ever, there's a plethora of tips for reducing risk before, during, and after actions, please use it to try to be safer. full site with resources: maskon.zone

An orange and brown gradient graphic that reads:

"QUESTIONS TO ASK: ANTI-SURVEILLANCE PROTEST TOOLKIT

-Will posting this help more than it will harm other people, particularly Black folks on the frontlines?

-Can I do something more helpful with this information/photo/video than post it on my account?

-Is this photo beneffiting me, my "clout," my career, or the movement & activists at the forefront?

-Am I putting someone at risk?

Don't treat this as a spectacle rather than a real movement and struggle."

I know many people my age still have a lot of nostalgia around Harry Potter and might be tempted to watch the new HBO TV series. Please, I'm begging you, do not tune in. J.K. Rowling is singularly motivated. The new Harry Potter series is a cash cow intended to fund anti-trans bigotry.

J.K. Rowling is using her wealth attained from the "Harry Potter" series to create an organization dedicated to removing transgender people's rights "in the workplace, in public life, and in protected female spaces.” 🔗: bit.ly/3ZBRxYk

I just want people in media and publishing to be safe and like any other industry it's a hot mess of institutions protecting serially abusive and harmful people for basically no good reason other than men in power looooove to do that shit

I just think it's so beautiful and sweet that you can out a serial abuser who personally harmed you and many others and instead of getting fired, the premier trade mag in publishing promotes him and gives him even more power... boys clubs that protect and defend violence are so cute huh

Seeing a lot of confusion about the budget's provisions on trans care--it would strip Medicaid funds for trans care (which is awful enough) but it would NOT prohibit private insurers from providing coverage for trans care. It actually does something far more narrow and wonkier

Under the ACA, plans sold on the individual or small-group Marketplaces have to provide coverage for certain treatments called Essential Health Benefits (EHB). Only a few treatments (like abortion) are prohibited from coverage as an EHB by HHS--but insurers are not banned from covering it altogether

Please help my friend Elly make ends meet! Elly is a multiply-disabled journalist and community advocate. Despite taking as many precautions as they could, they recently contracted COVID-19 and ended up in the ER. They are still recovering weeks later, and they are currently unable to work.

I've had a tough time recovering from a severe case of COVID, am still symptomatic, and have been unable to work. I'm already disabled and this has been scary. I need community help to recover and am very grateful for all support, including sharing. www.gofundme.com/f/support-tr...
