“how do we win back trump voters in 2026” we don’t. we create an environment where admitting to voting for trump is so socially embarrassing as to render them completely inert. you don’t “win back” trump voters. you demoralize them into staying home. you make it a dunce cap

I’ve never been one for wading into The Discourse(TM), but my chronic illness is the only thing stopping me from a long rant right now. Also, I feel like I’ve returned to my youth. “People are being loudly wrong on tumblr dot com”

One of my favorite things: reading a novel-length fanfic where authors notes on early chapters reveal that the fic ran away from the author. I’m always so tickled.

My experience is of every American COVID-19 mitigation effort being obviously insufficient, and ended far too soon. To see people now argue that they somehow were too much, going too far? Not anti-vax or MAGA people, but folks just out here on Bluesky? It staggers me.

Can someone please explain to me how I can accomplish these two simultaneously: 1) reduce screen time 2) maintain connection with the outside world while 95% bed bound (For context, the remaining 5% is trips to the bathroom, not like…going out to lunch.)

The person who won my @romancingthevote.com blanket has not replied to my “congrats! What’s your mailing address?” email. It’s only been 5 days, and people have lives, but I keep seeing “yay my stuff arrived!” pics and it’s making me 😬🫠 Maybe I wait a full week, then follow up?

I read romance 99.9% of the time, but I’m reading a mystery/thriller right now. (Written by an auto-buy romance author.) For the first third of the book, I very much felt like I was reading out of obligation as this author’s fan, but I’m now 45% in and screaming, crying, throwing up.

Ginn Hale is so impressive. Whenever I pick up a new book, I assume I’m ready. I’ve read her backlist; I know she’s incredible. And yet every time I’m woefully unprepared for how her writing takes my breath away. Also, Falhep needs to die a truly terrible death. (Yes, I’m reading Vol 4 of PoaTB)

lol. I mean, yeah, but I was mostly imagining myself freaking out if no one bid on my item in the first few hours. I figured a low price would inspire an early frenzy of bids. Which it did. So yay. It’s still sitting way below its actual price value, but I feel SEEN. 😂

okay... knit and crochet peeps on romancing the vote... you are NOT valuing yourselves enough! I hope everyone overbids a ton. www.32auctions.com/organization...

I appreciate the 32auctions website for all it does, but these “there has been activity on an item in your watchlist” emails are woefully behind the times. I just got three in a row about an item being at $115 when I bid $150 on it 40 minutes ago.
