i don't think i talked about how as a prank to my friends i edited the entire 2 hour run of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children like a ytp and passing it off as a weird link from 2007 i found on internetarchive heres the Sephiroth fight edited like a classic cartoon. The whole film is like this.

So the ace thing about gorgeous yet painfully expensive PlayStation Lemming 'em up platformer Lomax is that there's a PC version available all over eBay for like £10 new/sealed :D
A hidden terribleness about the AI translations of older games that keep popping up lately - in this case Tricolor Crise for the Dreamcast - is the way they knock the wind out of the sails of the people who are trying to actually do it properly. LLM version didn't even use the right character names.

This whole thing has just been a slap to my face for all the time and effort I've put into making something great for this great game. This person gives zero F's about this game; they just chose it because.

Fascinatingly, unlike most other video games I've ever played, Granblue Relink's text rendering supports bolded text and uses it in dialogue.
the best part of gradius ii is most of it but its actually that the final enemy, who normally can't fight back, has a telepathically projected 1 pixel hitbox in the middle of nowhere that you can crash into
I always let the credits scroll when I beat a game and it's often revealing. Granblue Relink involved a LOT of people. Like, there's more credits than there is credits music? (At some point I hit the speedup button but it still finished scrolling on... quiet ambient noise or something.)

i miss the game development era where the next big thing would happen and every major publisher would be required by law to put out their own competitor but they’d also try to differentiate it with a gimmick leading to half of them being by and for crazy people

…it, feels like heresy to say—even *I’m* surprised I’m saying it—but I think, even if it doesn’t take as directly existential of an approach, Den-noh Coil’s execution of its ideas legit runs circles around something like Lain, while being no less thoughtful or prescient
