The literary giant Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o (and one of my favorite authors) has passed. 😔 Wizard of the Crow is a masterpiece. He has many greats. I'm glad I got to meet him a few times (I always encouraged him to write a science fiction novel...he said he'd consider it).

Please share this widely. All milk testing in USA is NOT being stopped. You should still complain about these cuts. But it is not an end to milk testing.

You probably have to view full-screen to see what is happening here-- baby great horned owl is watching his upstairs neighbor, the starling, who is watching the baby owl. Just incredible to witness! 🪶

Mom and baby great horned owls are in their nest in the crook of a saguaro cactus. Above them, a starling looks down at them from its hole in the cactus.

Disabled people have been warning about this since 2020. We've now got tons of scientific articles about post-covid illness/disability and the relationship between repeat covid infections and other health conditions. I hope you'll take a minute to follow some PWD and ask your friends to wear masks.

So it's not just me? Is this one of the worst seasons we've had with non-COVID respiratory illnesses in recent memory? I see people getting sick constantly, like once a month every single month. My son's high school has been just full of sick kids since early November, kids are missing LOTS of days

Just started watching Heidi, which takes place in the Swiss Alps, and within a minute there was a red-tailed hawk calling 😩 I even verified with the Merlin App. Whyyy. 🪶
