I don’t care if you like its cultural output. The BBC has been a major player in the immiseration of this country, in the persecution of trans people, immigrants, muslims, travellers and disabled people, in the spread of dangerous rhetoric about climate change and vaccines. It must be dismantled.

please nobody fill this out. some folks are suspicious that its from the dept of geography, but the suspicious part is there is no information sheet on who the researcher is or the purpose/use of the data collected. no ethics committee would allow this not least cambridge. please dont fill it out

What's happening to trans rights in Britain is more chilling than what's happening in the US. In the US there's an ecosystem of zealotry. The people dismantling trans rights openly lie, not just about trans people but about a whole host of things. For them to dismantle human rights feels natural.

This is absolutely absurd. Scottish transphobes post worse about trans people, including Heather, all the time and the police sit on their hands. JKR posted an upskirt photo of a trans person, a clear crime, just this week. No action. Talk about two tier policing. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.

I have four golden berries in celeste now, and I fear that I may not be able to stop until I've got 201 (there is no 202nd berry, shush)

The rainbow is here all year long, so we don't need to change the profile for June. But it is a good time to remind everyone that LGBTQIA+ rights are under attack all year long as well. And to steal @haskell.org's message: there would be no Gleam without trans people 🩵🩷🤍

pink star looking in the mirror with text "I'm going to be brave. I'm going to be myself", with rainbow pride and trans pride stickers on it. The background is rainbow

The past years have seen horrendous attacks towards trans people. We have a duty to protect the most vulnerable members of our communities. There is no Haskell without the trans people who have shaped it through the years. This June is a month of celebrations, but the struggle continues. ✊🏳️‍⚧️λ

I like bluesky because it feels so much like tumblr 1. barely works 2. userbase is annoying (affectionate)(not that affectionate) 3. being queer on here feels like I’m actively participating in ruining some tech company’s investment

What I have frequently heard programmers say over the years: (1996) "Lines of Code" is a terrible metric (2006) "Lines of Code" is a terrible metric (2016) "Lines of Code added" is a terrible metric (2026) I have to use AI because it's the only way to meet my company's "Lines of Code added" quota

so AI is supposed to revolutionize every single aspect of the reality as we know it, but it's something we shouldn't rely on for anything serious or important cause it's so fucking unreliable, do I get that right my dude ?
