I'm giving Dying Light 2 a go, as it's in this month's PS Plus games. It has some terrible, terrible UX design (and yes, I do mean UX, not UI).

2-3 games worth reviewing have released every day this week on Steam alone. The videogame space is overflowing with good art and nobody is being paid for the time to review even a fraction of it.
I rewatched Aliens tonight, and I can't believe that I forgot one of the marines is called Spunkmeyer.
New episode with @sammgreer.bsky.social is up and live! Honestly loved chatting w Sam about It Eats Planets which I highly recommend even if she wasn’t a wonderful guest!! open.spotify.com/episode/1QYx...

This makes me sad, because I stand by my assertion that the storytelling is great. It puts me in mind of the kneejerk changes made to Lawbreakers again and again in response to a vocal minority that eventually ran the game into the ground. www.gamesradar.com/games/action...
Game Freak promises Beast of Reincarnation improvements following mixed reviews, starting with "story pacing improvements" within a week: "We take your feedback to heart"
The Pokemon devs are aware of the issues

I found this while looking through some books. I have no memory whatsoever of buying it, but I'm very much looking forward to reading it. Well done, past (or possibly time-travelling future) me.

Mass Lobby for Trans Equality - 9th September 2026
The law around trans equality is fundamentally broken. Government inaction is hanging trans people and organisations out to dry - with a confusing mess of challenging rules and lawfare.

I don’t like that there’s starting to be falls alright?
Despite an odd embargo time that hints at a troubled game (early hours of the morning for Europe), Beast of Reincarnation is brilliant. Not only is it a great action game, I was surprised at how much the story and the telling of it impressed me. www.gamesradar.com/games/action...
The Pokemon dev has surprised me with this sci-fi action RPG that wonderfully combines dog combos with intense swordplay
Beast of Reincarnation is a great ARPG, with firm but fair combat and wide scope for crafting a build to your tastes

Haters focusing on Liddle's violence toward his pregnant partner, his galloping racism, or his repeated defences of paedophilia, should remember to mention he was also one of the worst writers to ever do it. A calorie-free hack of the first water. Just absolute dogshit, back to front.
Hello I have made this due to a mutual having issues with some folks on here forgetting this fact and shouting at him for it. Feel free to use it as a handy PSA x
When someone is described as "often controversial, never boring" in 2026 it just means: full nazi but also part of the establishment.
House clearances undertaken is the usual terminology but ok
This might sound elitist, but I don’t think the people liking the Peanuts slop posts should have rights

Shadow of the Tomb Raider's timid attempt to suggest an obsession wth stealing from other cultures is bad, actually, clashes ferociously with the strong white saviour vibes (and all the stealing). A messy end to the trilogy, but I still largely enjoyed it, and the kid Lara section was brilliant.
That's Rise done as well. I like me a good old-fashioned adventure game with scenery falling apart. Might be a little while before I have time to move on to Shadow, but I'll definitely play that too. Kinda wild the whole trilogy was given away free via the Epic store.
It’s pretty funny how whenever Nintendo has the most successful console, everyone just kinda pretends it doesn’t count as a real video game system.
The $500 console is dead. Even after the RAM crisis ends, the era of affordable gaming hardware is gone for good. https://bit.ly/3ROAvpc
I'm starting to worry that even the integrity of the prestigious FIFA Peace Prize might be called into question soon.
In a week of incendiary statements, this from Kevin Lamour, who at least for tonight remains FIFA COO, is incredibly damning in that it is from an insider that goes beyond this one scheme and is an assassination in a few hundred words of the FIFA president as a leader of global football.
Again the next time you worry you are not qualified for your job please remember that Marvel couldn't figure out how to pick a spot on the map, put Mahershala Ali in a Blade outfit and then write a movie where he fights vampires there.
Mahershala Ali says he’s moved on from ‘Blade’ “I have moved on … I'm good … you had me under contract … if they wanted to do the movie, we would've done the movie. So we're not doing the movie … They didn't want to do it, so they should answer that question” (via GQ Magazine)
It's very, very scary to talk about this stuff so I'm grateful to and in awe of Jason for going ahead and doing it.
Well, it’s invoicing day, and since they’re really apparently not going to pay me for something I wrote for them two months ago, I guess today is the day to post about how @vulture.com fucks over its film freelancers. Long (sorry) thread, with receipts:
Imagine casting an Oscar-winning actor as an iconic character, with an incredibly simple and popular premise, and after seven years all you have to show for it is one line, delivered off-screen, in a post-credits sequence.
Mahershala Ali no longer believes he'll star in the MCU's BLADE reboot, saying, "I have to move on, and I have moved on."
