Hot take: Kids don’t have a choice in what their parents publicly post for strangers on the internet. I hope parents start to think about how their child will feel in the future, before posting videos/pics showing them in the bath, eating breakfast, getting upset, GRWM etc for likes & views.

I really need straight people to stop equating HIV to the queer, and trans community. If you are a straight woman and you contracted HIV from a man, that does not mean that he was DL, or bisexual. The straight community at large has a very laissez-faire attitude when it comes to sex.

So. This "underlying health conditions" / "pre-existing health conditions" framing is understandably upsetting b/c amid the COVID public health emergency, it became a way of discounting the morbidity or mortality of chronically ill & disabled people. The people behind MAHA leveraged this framing.

Today I found a man shot in an alley laying in a pool of his own blood. I can absolutely tell you there is a difference between a EMT, non-ED doctor & ED doctor. I am not an ED doc. I called 911 & did what I could. I'm so glad EMTs & ED docs exist. He's hopefully ok. It was very shocking.

As we recall the trauma caused by COVID in 2020, we should not forget COVID continues to harm. Many still suffer from Long COVID, people who mask are often harassed, and we haven’t scaled clean air infrastructure. If we truly acknowledge past harms, we should be working to create a better future.
