I've never used ChatGPT. If I'm absolutely honest, although I've heard of Claude, I'm not 100% sure what it is. I've never knowingly used an #AI tool. To me, this post reads like 'If pre-sliced cheese was suddenly banned, would you even know how to slice cheese manually?'

It seems relevant that the thing Isaiah is being sent to do in that passage is to deliver a prophecy of doom to his own people for having fallen away from the path of righteousness. So if these guys were like, Isaiah, that would be robustly bad news for...the United States.

This bit, however, should be printed in large font in every public square. "War is fine as long as you feel bad about it afterwards" is the rotten apple that is steadily corrupting the entire barrel of western culture (a term I hesitate to even use bc it is so unhelpfully vague).

This response to Emily Wilson's critique of The Odyssey is very much giving "shut up, you're getting paid in exposure"-style energy. A person is allowed to critique something, especially a translator of Greek myth who is an expert in her field, and not limited to "shut up, it'll sell your book."
