Said this before, will again. Badenoch is the most dangerous figure in British politics. She's not as extreme as Farage or Lowe, but her impact is more pernicious. She actively prevents the British centre-right from adopting moderate positions, and thereby facilitates the radicalisation process.

Removal of an independent appeals process sets what should be a chilling precedent for the Administrative State and truly Draconian concession to executive power. Anyone voting for this has nothing to offer the left and will continue in the Starmerite tradition of pitch rolling for Reform.

Under a Binface government, anyone who doesn’t accept human-made climate change as fact will be sent back to school, from Year 1 right the way to A Levels, to see if anything goes in the second time round. #VoteBinface

“If I drive drunk down the road, I can't then say: Tell you what, instead of appearing before a magistrate, I'll stand for councillor instead and let the people of Bermondsey decide if I am innocent. That's not how any of this f*****g works. You don't get to use popularity as a form of acquittal.”

Lib Dem Leader Ed Davey has unveiled a billboard campaign across the UK to mark the 10th anniversary of the Brexit referendum today. The billboards call out Reform leader Nigel Farage’s £5 million "reward for campaigning for Brexit, whilst people across the country feel the pinch."

Lib Dem billboard of Nigel Farage laughing, captioned "Ten years on… do you feel better off?" above a Telegraph headline "Farage: I was given £5m as a reward for Brexit". Orange Lib Dem placards in the foreground.

There's a bit of debate about whether a 3 month transition is a good idea. Fwiw, regardless of whether there's a contest, I think it is. We got into this mess because someone came into power without a clear idea of what he wanted to do.
