The boy brings chaos and a breaking of time.

Even setting aside “in order to survive” spending… many zoomers have been dragged by their phones into ludicrous spending/debt traps (be it fast fashion, gambling, crypto, expensive nightlife, sundry hobby stuff) and they are allowed to recognize this and hate it even while still under its influence

The youth claim to hate capitalism yet they purchase goods and services in order to survive ahaha and I am very Fortune Magazine

Fortune Magazine, 5 hours ago: a photo of diverse young people eating food and smiling to the camera above a paywalled story headline reading Gen Z's anti-capitalist brand says one thing. Its spending data says something more interesting.

Issuing a strong apology form to Agamemnon’s big dumb Batman armor, which I thought looked silly when the first screencaps dropped but in the context of the movie it kicks so much ass. This monolithic icon of a King, who only speaks after he’s dead and it’s to be like “alas, Odysseus, I got owned,”

The collapse of network television is legit part of the problem here. There’s nothing more psychosexually nutritious than a years-long fixation with a telegenic but basically normal-looking 40-year-old woman who plays a doctor or lawyer and wears a swimsuit or evening dress in one scene per season

To be clear I think women are just more honest about this than guys who feel the need to hoot performatively over Sydney Sweeney to prove something but secretly all have crushes over three women on Law & Order and Leela from Futurama

Captain America: Not “America” in the sense of any political agenda but uhh something something D-Day WEB Dubois Brooklyn, Mark Twain, and that’s what I consider to be the true America, not that you’re bound to agree, it’s not a Trump thing but it’s also not NOT a— Captain Britain: Sorry, magic hat

Captain Britain: “I was given my name and costume along with my powers. I’m not a patriot. I don’t care about countries or governments.”

it’s pretty obvious that a lot of people remember that COVID lockdowns were unpleasant and from there just extrapolate that they were therefore bad policy

Man goes to see the Cyclops. Says he's depressed. He wants to get back to his wife and home, but he keeps running into fatal predicaments along the way. Cyclops says, "Prognosis is simple. Nobody can help you." Man starts crying. Says, "But Cyclops, I *am* Nobody"

my neighborhood 7-11 closed a couple years ago and tried to reopen but couldn’t get the permit approved because there’s a preschool next door and 7-11s sell alcohol (the previous permit was grandfathered in). i saw a fence going up around the lot recently and looked up what was moving in: a gun shop
