The reason people love the Ea-nāṣir story is less the vitriol and more the fact that we couldn’t be more culturally different from a 4000 years dead Sumerian but we can totally relate. It shows us that no matter our superficial differences people are just people.

carly rae jepsen would NEVER date justin trudeau or kill a nun with bad vibes and that’s not why we love her but i think it should count for something

You cannot support HP without supporting JKR. There is no line to be drawn. Simply showing support, even if you aren't buying anything, helps boost her social standings which gives her more power over others to do as she pleases. (aka commit trans genocide) I will block you if you support HP.

I'm horrifically disappointed to see people hopping into a harry potter art trend after all the heinous garbage jk rowling has done to multiple communities Not so friendly reminder that she's using this as free advertising and you ARE supporting her indirectly for this.

Wow. LOISH got accused of using Ai to make her art. I started following her on early deviantart. I remember first seeing her paintings in college. This is ridiculous, no one is safe. Artists Ive followed for actual decades are getting harassed because their work has been stolen and regurgitated.

Spending all weekend hiking is a good excuse as any to repost @faitherinhicks.bsky.social's lovely comic about us doing the grouse grind

Faith Erin Hicks' comic about us doing the grouse grind, ending in a punchline about an old man with walking sticks easily overtaking us
