"The problem with using AI is that it is sycophantic and unoriginal. It only tells you what you want to hear, shutting off your brain" she copy-pasted into the replies for the 8th time today, having read it once in a highly upvoted meme on r/aiHaters 3 years ago.

I think this stuff is really scary and much scarier than the fake arguments. We will not solve it on the individual morality level. Only online jackasses can believe that cancer patients should be bullied for caring more about staying alive than their privacy purity.

the way they get you is that it's not a trick. more data really does make it better. all your chats, email, records, documents. this is why it's such a mistake to focus on the errors they make this week. you need an argument that's persuasive even if it works, because it absolutely will work

According to their latest earnings call, Google processes twenty two billion tokens every minute. On just the Gemini API. Not including search overview. Not including Gemini app consumer use. Not including Gemini on Android Twenty one thousand bibles every single minute. Just from direct API use.

I am not normally this blunt, but. I'm fucking begging people to do a "non-slop" fork of Linux. Please. I beg you. You can do it! You can manage the Linux kernel and keep the project alive! Your puritanical self-purging witch-hunt prone group is surely the stable, sensible leadership FOSS needs!
