Many such cases and you can see this outside of technology where there’s a constant search for a linguistic formula to support a terrible thing while avoiding the stigma of doing so
They don’t want to cut access to food and medicine they want to cut fraud. They don’t want to push Black people out of public life, they want to promote merit. They don’t want to normalize bigotry they want to promote free thinking and open debate, so on and so forth
interesting to see the tone of this coverage and response in the context of people losing SNAP and healthcare benefits due to increased recertification/eligibility paperwork burdens

Ameaka Fatima Nkempu, a Johns Hopkins University researcher in public health, was detained by ICE while boarding a domestic flight. She says she is Cameroonian in a Medium article that she authored. As of Thursday morning, the ICE Online Detainee Locator did not list where she was being held.

Over 250 injured protesters at one hospital. The cops (Delhi Police take orders directly from the regime, the Home Minister) claim 118 of their own were injured, despite every video taken of the protests showing them beating on unarmed people. No sign of any injured police at the hospital.

There's barely Bsky India, & non-Indians simply don't discuss the politics of the world's most populous democracy, unlike the UK/other western democracies aside from the US.
Not the biggest protest movement since Quit India (that would be the nation-wide anti-CAA protests in 2020), but it is growing rapidly. Meanwhile, a variety of other protests by marginalised Indian populations are being buried, like the Adivasi-led Ken-Betwa protest, cleared by cops today:
