This is spectacular! Sales of fully battery powered trucks have shot past diesel trucks in China. Forget about hybrid and hydrogen trucks. We can now stop calling heavy trucking a "hard to abate" sector.

Spot the difference. We didn't 5x the Cycleways network in London overnight. It took vision, hard work, & the conviction to invest in green infrastructure - often in the face of vocal opposition. In 2016, we had 90km of Cycleways. Now we're at 450km. That's progress. And we're not stopping there.

I visited Dounreay Nuclear power plant as a school child 48 years ago. It stopped generating in 1994, yet it is still being decommissioned, with a workforce of 1,000+. So don't tell me that wind power curtailment is expensive, or about the landfill of benign, end of life, turbine blades.

I cycled past Balmoral a few days ago - as Prince Charles, he was all for nature… but as King Charles and now in control, I haven't heard of any action. He could have reduced the hunting aspects of his estates and started rewilding programmes. Why hasn't he? @georgemonbiot.bsky.social
