Well there we are. Nigel Farage has blown a gaping hole in his excuse for why his secret £5 million ‘gift’ from a crypto billionaire did not need to be declared. Reform are up to their neck in sleaze and they clearly think the rules don’t apply to them. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

"After removing the effects of El Niño, volcanic eruptions & solar cycles, researchers found the planet has warmed at roughly 0.35°C per decade over the past ten years, compared with just under 0.2°C per decade from 1970 to 2015." So, almost double the rate 😱 www.sciencedaily.com/releases/202...

I'm not sure folks have realized just how crazy the second half of 2026 and 2027 will be for global temperatures – on the back of a record-smashing El Niño event. Here is my latest estimate of where both years will end up compared to global temperatures since 1850.

Important, because Farage's defence for not declaring Harborne's £5m 'gift' has always been very specific: he did not decide to stand until 3rd of June. Turns out this deal was struck mid-May (confirmed by RefUK) and facilitated by Farage's other big donor, convicted felon 'Posh' George Cotrell. 🧐

Nigel Farage struck a secret deal to return as leader of Reform UK months before the general election.
Farage negotiated the pact with Richard Tice, then the leader, in March and April 2024. George Cottrell, the convicted fraudster who had been secretly bankrolling Farage, supervised the discussions.
Under the terms of the deal, once Farage became leader Reform would repay or write off more than £1 million in outstanding loans it had received from Tice's company.
The deal was first presented by Farage and Cottrell to the party's treasurer in mid-May. Its existence undermines the Reform leader's claim that he had no intention until June 2024 of returning to politics. Farage has used this to defend his failure to declare donations made to him in the year before he was elected as an MP, which triggered two parliamentary investigations.

The BBC treats climate change as a political subject, which it is not. This gives them the excuse of "both sidesing" an overwhelming scientific consensus and outright lying. It is a propaganda machine downplaying a deadly emergency and questions need to be asked at the highest level as to why.

I was not informed by the BBC that they would have a right wing political figure or lobbyist on after me to rebut what I said. The individual in question went on to spout lies about China, etc. to distract attention from the Trump administration's assault on climate action. This is unacceptable.

Shell’s quarterly profits up from $4.3bn to $9.8bn, jump in price of oil/gas due to wars . Customer bills hiked, industries crippled, economies damaged, planet burns from fossil fuels pollution, corporations profit from catastrophies. Another $3bn share buyback. Must levy 100% windfall tax.

These wildfires didn’t come out of nowhere. Activists and scientists tried to warn us but the media refused to inform the public. Even now the media isn’t reflecting the full truth of this crisis. We’re talking about rising sea levels that will swallow coastal towns and cities, diseases

#GlobalHeating greatly increases #wildfire risk. That‘s been established scientifically for a long time (see IPCC reports) but has now been shown again for the current fires 🔥 in France and Spain in a new World Weather Attribution study. www.worldweatherattribution.org/climate-chan...

No one can ever believe anything Trump pledges, says or puts in writing. With Trump, a deal is never a deal and nobody can count on the US for anything while he’s president. His word is garbage, agreements mean nothing, and he lies about everything.

🧵UK media has been duped about net-zero (again) The playbook is identical: 1️⃣ Find a big scary number 2️⃣ Speed-dial non-specialist hacks 3️⃣ Do say “serious economic damage” 4️⃣ Don’t say “we pretended gas is free” 5️⃣ That's it! Many papers still fell for it 🤷
