I can see why Americans like this stuff, high-fiving novelty, “awesome job” and all that, but surely we piss taking Brits won’t tolerate such bollocks? Please let them end up in ditches, or upped on their backs like stuck sheep, corralled by traffic cones, graffitied beyond use and recognition.

Humans should not be forced off pavements by delivery robots, but that's exactly what's happening. The people who pay the price are those with the least room to give it up.

I've always been a little suspicious of calling any artist 'the greatest' as though there were some league table. But as the years passed, and the work continued it's restless advance, and the way of seeing never faltered, it became clear to me that David Hockney really was ours. RIP.
