I think one helpful—hopeful—analogy between Minnesota and Michigan primaries is that the insane, egregious ad spends and reprehensible ad content didn't tip the scales in favor of the monied interests' preferred candidate: adimpact.com/blogs/michig...

Saint Paul, Minnesota and Timberwolves basketball
I’m here at the Fish Hatchery encampment in St. Paul as the city prepares to sweep the camp. St. Paul cops are stopping cars coming in but there are dozens of people that have gathered here in anticipation of the sweep in order to help camp residents and document what the city does here today.
While I haven't seen anything that I believe will force the Mayor of Saint Paul to resign, I am disappointed in the outcome of this short time in office. This moment in Saint Paul demands committed, focused leadership, and we will not get that from a mayor embroiled in controversy and conflict.
Scoop: In a private call with top officials, St. Paul Mayor Kaohly Her lashed at requests to delay a homeless encampment sweep. She attributed her anger to “fuckery” being said about her in public, 3 officials told @axios.com . One state rep logged off in frustration. www.axios.com/local/twin-c...

One of the groundbreaking parts of Minnesota’s new law is that it opens the door to lawsuits against the platforms (like X) that allow users to nudify images. For the most part, other regulations of online behavior have punished users, not platforms. This is one to watch.

Most of the land in most farm counties is owned by 1-5 families. They run the place like their own personal kingdoms. There is SO much resentment and straight-up fury about this in rural areas. The fact that no political party's even really trying to speak to it is wild.
Posting this on X and using the phrase "complainer class" as an attempted slight at your political opponent should be a red flag warning to your family and friends to confiscate your devices.
She knows she’s losing so she said let’s just go mask off.
Saw an Abdul for Senate sign in the window of a store front in downtown Ann Arbor. The store was called Bongz N Thongz.
Drove through a small town in central Michigan today. Came to a four way intersection. Each corner has a dispensary and the behind each dispenser was another dispensary! 4 corners, 7 weed shops! Imagine the creativity necessary to differentiate that much product!

Elon Musk and his machine, xAI, are suing Minnesota for passing a law that bans nudification tech. The law forbids the use of public images to create sexualized content. And this oaf and his merry band of dipshits think their porn is more valuable than your identity. www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...

The Lakan Riley vote may define this primary but it does not define Angie Craig's career. Many other deplorable decisions do that just fine! Disappointed but not surprised to see our new mayor coming to the Representative's defense. minnesotareformer.com/2026/07/27/w...

Congratulations to all the great restaurants listed in the Star Tribune's 45 Vital Minnesota Restaurants list, including my favorite restaurant in the state — The Pines in Grand Rapids — but the continued erasure of Tongue in Cheek is something I simply cannot abide. Blasphemers!

On Thursday night, I was driving home from volleyball at Memory Lanes, and there was a Lime bike in the middle of 94 right around 280. Called the MPLS 311 number, got a terrible menu and a voicemail. Called STP's non-emergency line and spoke to a Ramsey Cty dispatcher who already knew about the bike
When I had a cracked windshield recently, three or four insurance people asked me in what city the stone had hit the glass. I said, that's an interesting question, because I was on Interstate 94 traveling from Saint Paul to Minneapolis, and it was kind of in the part that could have been either ..
I think that at this point it has become abundantly clear that Angie Craig might be the most dishonest actor in DFL politics in Minnesota.
