I would like to see more companies admit this - being a public company no longer means running a successful, thriving business. It strictly means delivering growth to investors, every single quarter, who do not care at all about the product the company sells or the people who produce it.

Disheartened to hear about more video games happening in the layoff industry
For further clarity, EA is going to be on the hook for paying 1.8 billion dollars a year in interest, whereas their current yearly profit is 1.5 .So their interest payments are 300 million more than their entire yearly profit. We're in the process of watching them tie a noose and look for a spot.

Studios in the Bethesda organization like id Software (Doom) and ZeniMax Online Studios (Elder Scrolls Online) are not shutting down but are cutting a significant number of staff this morning, per sources.
The sandbags continue to fall off the hot air balloon. If I wasn’t certain that the culture there was burnt-out employees being sent rocket-ship emojis before, this solidifies it. The phrase “fell short of expectations” will continue to be a cudgel leveraged against people’s ability to have a life.
