I used to keep a little notebook in which I’d write down fake names. By the time I lost it or threw it away or something I had maybe 250 in there, but the only two I can recall are Stefanie Germwingle and Stuart Prawnswallow.

This is 1000% why I'm doing the Cloud Atlas project. The ecosystem is making TOOLS for PEOPLE to DO things with but mostly getting stuck on the tools part in explanations. (Also I think there's enormous value in the connections *between* tools.) www.wrecka.ge/launching-a-...

Launching a Cloud Atlas

The right questions to arrive with—and the right structure for what comes out of the interviews—are not completely obvious. So I’ve been spending some time thinking about clouds.

Plea to #ATproto developers & companies: Pleasepleaseplease make it easier for the rest of us to help boost your apps & tools by creating good, clear documentation geared toward non-techie users? (not just fellow developers or internal team).🤞🏽 See my post on @leaflet.pub.

OH: "I'm about to move a bunch of my former website to Leaflet, if I can...and it looks like I can. And it's easy!" cc @leaflet.pub thought y'all should know your efforts are getting appreciated out here

yes! as someone who’s been working in procedural text before LLMs were a thing, I really wish people had a sense of the varieties of procgen writing that *aren’t* genAI output. there’s a ton of stuff we can do (including pre-LLM, ML style AI) that’s nothing like chatbot output directly in a game.

Thank you! Very illuminating. We’re so fixated on genAI right now, it’s useful to be reminded of the varieties of synthetic and procedural text flowing through different kinds of experiences.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle v2.7: Added a weathered stone statue that feels strangely... alive. It seems to shift ever so slightly when no one is watching.

Hey friends! If you’re in a position to help, please consider donating to my friend Kate’s Lyme recovery fund. Their treatment is helping so much, but they’re still a ways off from being able to work enough to fund the rest of their recovery. Reposts are also greatly appreciated! Thank you 🩵

Hello friends near and far 💜 I've reached the end of my savings, frustratingly, just as we've solved the root mystery of my illness (it's Lyme) and are seeing continued success with treatment. I'm asking for your help in bridging the gap between now and when I can hopefully work full-time again.
