My bank is releasing a new online banking system and deprecating their old one and the password requirements for the new system almost make me want to change banks. No whitespace? Wtf? What are you doing with the password that makes that necessary???
Feature I want from ai: automatic summaries of videos posted on all platforms. If you post some video in a discord channel half the time I just want to know what's in it and I don't actually need to watch the video.

I am amazed that quantisation works. I would not a priori have predicted that you could just make the numbers less precise and the model would just get a bit worse. Maybe it was obvious to ai researchers! But to me it feels like randomly permuting every element of a complex machine by a little bit.

Why is every ai mobile app buggy as shit? Both Claude and Gemini have a number of bugs if you ask them a question and then switch out of the app to something else. Do they just not test? Are their testers just staring at the throbber for a couple minutes while the llm decides what to answer?
Sometimes being a good programmer is just when you see something odd, you track it down. It should probably embarrass my coworkers a tad that the odd thing I spent the last 2 days tracking down was "after that big patch two weeks ago our performance tests all started failing"
