If the republicans over perform just a little the media will say it’s because of the checks Trump promised
I know Teamsters President Sean O'Brien is just a hack Republican now, but endorsing Roger Marshall? Really? The guy with a 14% lifetime rating from the AFL-CIO is a "Friend of Labor" according to O'Brien. If he's a friend of labor then I'm a supermodel teamster.org/2026/09/team...

Yeah go ahead and kick him out of the caucus for this. IDK. He’s clearly going to flip parties anyway.
EXCLUSIVE: Sen. John Fetterman is preparing to make a bombshell appearance tonight at the GOP convention in a video praising President Trump and Pennsylvania GOP Sen. Dave McCormick
Dems aren’t winning TX senate by 5 and then only winning MI and ME by 3. My guess is a lot of pollsters are being conservative on Dem margins to avoid a shit show if gop overperform
And look, I don't personally align with DSA but anyone that thinks the average voter is going to give a flying fuck about that, in this current environment, is DEEPLY delusional....
The best hope the GOP has for the RNC midterm convention is people simply don’t watch it

Don’t want to give the person anymore attention than is necessary but this view expressed is extremely common on the left wing of the Dem party. Lots of folks showed that urban areas aren’t turning out as well for Dems as they should and I always wonder if lies like this help fuel the discontent
I feel like polling is at an all time crap fest. We have internal house polls that show mid dem environment. We have no name pollsters showing random results, we have gop dropping insane stupid polls. Where is Fox News or NYT when we actually need them (never thought I’d say that)
Ok so where r all the polls? We’ve gone like a month with only non high quality pollsters
This is why nothing Biden or Harris did in 2024 was good enough for these folks. They don’t want to end the suffering in Gaza they want to end Israel as a state
Also I love “…you’re going to use the American military for good, oh wait, let’s just ignore the genocide in Gaza,” like it’s some form of liberal hypocrisy to not advocate US military intervention in Gaza against…who? Against Israel, in an alliance w Hamas?
Again trumps and the GOP’s actual problem is that they aren’t giving anyone a reason to come out. Partisans will but everyone else who is a little more free thinking understand that what’s happening in the US is not good
I’m not 100% sure how much this is gonna hurt the GOP in CA. They already are severally disadvantaged and most GOP folks in CA overwhelmingly blame the state for all their problems.

diesel is closing in on a $6/gal national average as wholesale prices surge tonight 13c/gal with new attacks and threats. BUT the real story may be out West- California could blow past $8/gal, and some pumps aren't even built to display what could come next.
There is a handful of Dems that are annoying and that need to go. It was like a quarter to half of the caucus in the 1980’s
One thing I don’t understand is the whole “Dems need to win over more rural voters like we used to in the 1980’s” arguments. The Dem party was ungovernable for so many years. Members used to vote with the GOP in droves. Imagine, instead of two or three conservative Dems, we had like 20-30

The fact serious journalists don’t care about how deranged Trump is just shows what a joke the entire political reporting industry is
In an alternate reality where we live in a sane world (which we don't, obviously): 25th amendment, immediately bluevirginia.us/2026/09/labo...
He said he would be better than Biden. Just didn’t specify in what way. Better at higher prices!
Incredibly, we’ve somehow managed to get higher oil and gas prices than the equivalent point in 2022
This is true, and I think it’s worth adding that MAHA is based on the idea that there are healthcare options out there that are guaranteed to work and aren’t unpleasant that “they” don’t want you to know about. The lie is that there are miracles out there that don’t make you face tradeoffs.
I guess it’s important to communicate that MAHA is fundamentally an movement by individuals to capture health care dollars by lying to people about having products and services that work
Politico is so bipolar. One minute it’s “the gerrymander might blow up in the GOP’s faces” the next it’s “NH might be red!” We don’t live in a world where NH is some red state and TX gerrymanders are falling apart Mind blowing how they can be so duel minded
“Redistricting is construction, not sales,” Kincaid said in an interview Friday. “The other thing I tell people all the time is ‘politics is not the Field of Dreams.’ Just because you build it doesn’t mean they’re going to come.” @politico.com #redistrict www.politico.com/news/2026/09...
This def a hot take but boomers aren’t really the reason for why things aren’t the way people want them to be. Yeah they are conservative but they weren’t really a dominate political force until the 90’s. The greatest gen was much more conservative.

They really want to help out their Republican buddies, dont they?
Raskin after Kristen Welker plays him clips of controversial Hasan Piker comments and asks him to react to them: "I think all of that is an irrelevant distraction"
"Voters surely were 100% aware of all of Trumps worst promises/threats, understood what they meant, & approved of them anyways when they voted bc otherwise what would that say about their information environments & the ppl/groups who are supposed to be informing them?"
The media also ignores this because it would ask uncomfortable questions about “why did voters think this way” which would expose the medias role in helping the GOP over dems
The only people who are allowed to do bothsidisms and run against Dems are people like Rob Sands in Iowa.
Disappointing. You are favored to win your race by a health margin. No need to do this “bothsides” song and dance. Maybe if she was in a less partisan district, but not against Lawler
Cait Conley, the Democrat who is running against Mike Lawler, says "right now what I see out of Washington is corruption on both sides, extremism on both sides"
And voters basically believed 1 and 2 because the media eco system went out of its way to run cover for Trump. Lots of serious folks spent a insane amounts of effort to point out that Trump was going to do bad things and that bad could happen and the media largely ignored or belittled them
The media spends too much time pontificating why voters chose Trump and are now unhappy. It’s clear to anyone who actually talks to voters that 1. Voters didn’t believe Trump would do [insert policy] like he said he would. 2. Voters believed “Only Good Can Happen” It’s not any deeper then that
