Dems aren’t winning TX senate by 5 and then only winning MI and ME by 3. My guess is a lot of pollsters are being conservative on Dem margins to avoid a shit show if gop overperform

Don’t want to give the person anymore attention than is necessary but this view expressed is extremely common on the left wing of the Dem party. Lots of folks showed that urban areas aren’t turning out as well for Dems as they should and I always wonder if lies like this help fuel the discontent
I feel like polling is at an all time crap fest. We have internal house polls that show mid dem environment. We have no name pollsters showing random results, we have gop dropping insane stupid polls. Where is Fox News or NYT when we actually need them (never thought I’d say that)

This is true, and I think it’s worth adding that MAHA is based on the idea that there are healthcare options out there that are guaranteed to work and aren’t unpleasant that “they” don’t want you to know about. The lie is that there are miracles out there that don’t make you face tradeoffs.

This def a hot take but boomers aren’t really the reason for why things aren’t the way people want them to be. Yeah they are conservative but they weren’t really a dominate political force until the 90’s. The greatest gen was much more conservative.

And voters basically believed 1 and 2 because the media eco system went out of its way to run cover for Trump. Lots of serious folks spent a insane amounts of effort to point out that Trump was going to do bad things and that bad could happen and the media largely ignored or belittled them
