I grew up watching Mystery! on PBS (with my mom). In the last decade or so, I’ve started listening to the audiobooks of many of the Christie novels (often narrated by people who were in the shows). So many post-war details erased by setting Poirot solely in the 20s/30s!

In my historical methods training, I was always taught “we start with a historical question.” I would never use “I’m testing a hypothesis” in my work. I might have a working theory or a working hypothesis, but I’m certainly never *testing* it. That’s ripe for cherry-picked, law office history.

Watching (well, sort of) the Disney animated Robin Hood. I watched the video so much when I was a kid that the tape stopped working and you couldn't watch the last part. So many of the lines are ingrained in my memory (more than I realized).

Riley’s comments really just highlight how little she knows and understands about disabled people and their abilities. Don’t worry though, she will find out, at some point (with age for most) we all become disabled, and for some it’s a very humbling experience.

There is a bit of common sense missing from big corporations. I remember, when Unstoppable Wasp was cancelled, I had to make the argument that the audience for that book would not just go pick up Spider-Man or Fantastic Four instead. Those readers were now lost readers. It's the same with Netflix

Netflix is struggling with keeping viewers "hooked" because it keeps canceling shows after 1 season so no one trusts a Netflix show to last. Its that simple, regardless of whatever their bullshit internal analytics are informing them.
