It is a huge challenge as a PI to navigate the AI minefields w/trainees. It's impossible to ignore AI's utility, esp. to individuals with limited English writing and/or computer coding skills. Their career ambitions require high productivity, and they know their peers will utilize AI tools (1/7)

The majority of grants seemed familiar. They were either formal A1 resubmissions, or grants that were previously reviewed, received a strong evaluation, and yet they were not funded. So their PIs submitted again as new grants. (10/10)
