Apparently Boots Theory is in the discourse again and I just want to say my pair of really good hiking boots which cost me 50 dollars have now outlasted about 3 pairs of 15 dollar shoes despite me doing far heavier labour in them p. regularly so like. no its just true. its just unironically true.

We are part of a large homeschool co-op, and I've known some of these kids for over half their lives, and sometimes I'm just so proud of them and it's weird because we're not close or anything. I wonder if this is what teachers feel like.

I did not realize the hugo awards packet would give me access to a million books I would want to read anyway. I've attended a couple worldcons virtually... and for reasons I don't understand, I did not clue into the fact that I would have access to any of these things until this year. 🙃

Depends on the shelves! My favourite organization of grown up books was mostly by colour because when I'm looking for books, i remember them by what they look like, but I haven't gotten around to doing that again since we moved several years ago. The kid's shelves are organized by theme or series
