He/him. Social Justice Warrior in a very, very unjust world. The point of politics is not to make more money for rich people. The point of politics is to make life better for the people who do. Leviticus 19:34, 25:35 Galatians 3:24-25

There are more people who've parlayed middling athletic prospects into profitable careers decrying the inclusion of trans women in sports than there are trans women in sports.

Wage theft is the biggest form of theft, accounting for more losses than all other forms of theft *combined*. So, in one sense it happens all the time. Business owners tend to be closer to power than employees, the cases don't get publicized, and employees aren't really told the rules.

According to anti-cyclist replies, here's evidence that cars and bikes are equally dangerous: 🚗: They kill ~40000 people in the US annually 🚲: I saw a cyclist run a red light 30 years ago

“Since we know the vast majority of Democratic lawmakers and politicians are terribly afraid of the optics of rightly defending trans youth, it falls to the rest of us to speak up and remind trans youth that their lives and their rights and their dignity are as worthy as those of anyone else.”

"So, you see, Ms. Cunningham, I will admit that I don’t understand what you’re aiming at here with your public concerns about trans youth in sports. I don’t get it."

I'd call the odds about 50/50 that Trump has murdered America—50/50 that he's the literal "but for" cause of the end of the American experiment. And the fact that it's still only perhaps 25% of Americans who understand the scope of his crime is another sign of how doomed we are.

It's pretty infuriating that Trump is denying disaster aid to Oregon for political reasons and I have barely heard anything about it, while Biden was falsely accused of doing the exact same thing to North Carolina and millions of people believed that

The president took on a vanity project, gave no-bid contracts to contractors who screwed it up, made up a story about vandals to cover it up, and then fomented a felony prosecution against an innocent scapegoat. You could impeach for anything he's done but "This asshole is out of control" is a layup

When you slow down and think about it you realize it's ten times worse than it seems. Sure it's farcical, but it's also a brutal legal attack on a man they knew to be innocent, done to distract from their own thievery and incompetence and as a flex to terrify anyone who might make them look bad.

One of the most important issues of our time is that the future of humanity is presently being authored by people who have nothing but total contempt for humanity and seek the erasure of everything that gives being a human meaning. It’s not just annoying. It doesn’t just suck. It’s existential.

Sam Altman: cool use case of chatgpt work i heard last night:

connect your family calendars and explain your kids' interests.

every morning for the drive to school, have it make a podcast that talks about one kid's soccer game that afternoon, one kid's upcoming birthday, some news, etc.
