A while back I started drinking hot tea (in effort to supplant some of the ridiculous amount of Coca-cola I was consuming) and I’m caused to wonder: The time period between “too hot to drink” and “so cooled it’s unpalatable” is approximately 18 nanoseconds long. Is that normal?

I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

There are more people who've parlayed middling athletic prospects into profitable careers decrying the inclusion of trans women in sports than there are trans women in sports.

The New York Times does deep and valuable reporting. They also do framing that invites fascism and they take credit for others’ scoops. That can’t be rewarded. Support independent media, shun the @nytimes.com.

I'd call the odds about 50/50 that Trump has murdered America—50/50 that he's the literal "but for" cause of the end of the American experiment. And the fact that it's still only perhaps 25% of Americans who understand the scope of his crime is another sign of how doomed we are.
