welp, don't get to teach the anthro approaches to AI class because it did not make minimum enrollment. Perhaps a bright side to having my adjunct teaching load (and therefore my paycheck) halved is that undergrads do NOT appear to be clamoring for AI-related classes in all cases?

Intelligence is such a bullshit concept, anyway. "PhD-level intelligence" is meaningless. A PhD is gained through completing a rigorous program of education, not getting some sort of score on a test of cognitive functions that is called an "intelligence quotient" for eugenicist reasons.
